More than 50 years have passed since the Equal Pay Act was enacted, but we’ve still got a lot of work to do. According to AAUW, Latina women earn 54 cents to every dollar non-Hispanic white men earn for the same work—meaning it would take Latinas almost an entire extra year of full-time, year-round work to catch up.
Let’s shout our support for equal pay today—and every day—until that number changes.

Since Election Day, more than 18,000 women have signed up with http://emilyslist.org/, a nonprofit that helps women run for office. And that’s just as of this morning—the number is growing faster than we can count!
