I went to the ARTisans Project Exhibition today.
6 artists contributed to the exhibition, which was sponsored by Louis Vuitton. Artist Han Sung Jae made a special gayageum, It is designed to cater to modern use. For playing, you have to ope...n the cover, and then put in the Anjoks (bridges) under the strings one by one. It takes some time to tune before playing. Although this seems inconvenient, it actually felt serene to go through the process. It was an interesting experience.
ARTisans Project exhibition에 다녀왔다.
이 전시는 여섯명의 작가들이 루이비통의 지원 사업에 참여하여 진행되었다고한다.
그 중, 한성재 작가의 작품은 현대생활양식에 맞춰 제작한 가야금이었다.
뚜껑을 열어서 안족(브릿지)를 하나씩 끼워서 조율한 후 연주 할 수있는데,
안족을 하나하나 천천히 끼우는 작업이 마음을 경건하게 만드는듯했다.
