I just saw Pride and Prejudice at the matinee in Fairfield. I absolutely loved it! It was so delightful! The organic popcorn with nutritional yeast and butter was delicious and the seats were so comfo...rtable. I’m grateful that Fairfield has reopened its doors to creating a local cinema. Orpheum is a great place to show movies for special events to raise community collective consciousness about important truth related issues. The marquee is very helpful to get the word out.

Last night for a beautiful film from 1992, The Last of the Mohicans starring Daniel Day-Lewis. Rated R, 2 hr 2 min.

The last members of a dying Native American tribe, the Mohicans -- Uncas (Eric Schweig), his father Chingachgook (Russell Means), and his adopted half-white brother Hawkeye (Daniel Day-Lewis) -- live in peace alongside British colonists. But when the daughters (Madeleine Stowe, Jodhi May) of a British colonel are kidnapped by a traitorous scout, Hawkeye and Uncas must rescue them in the crossfire of a gruesome military conflict of which they wanted no part: the French and Indian War.

You probably had to read the book during high school, but did you ever watch the movie?

To Kill a Mockingbird is a 1962 American drama film directed by Robert Mulligan. The screenplay by Horton Foote is based on Harper Lee's 1960 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name. It stars Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch and Mary Badham as Scout.

The film received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and was a box-office success, earning more than 10 times its budget. The fi...lm won three Academy Awards, including Best Actor for Peck, and was nominated for eight, including Best Picture.

In 1995, the film was listed in the National Film Registry. In 2003, the American Film Institute named Atticus Finch the greatest movie hero of the 20th century. In 2007 the film ranked twenty-fifth on the AFI's 10th anniversary list of the greatest American movies of all time. In 2005, the British Film Institute included it in their list of the 50 films you should see by the age of 14.
