It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that the 2018 MiMFF will not being happening. Due to a number of circumstances including health issues of the organizers and limited manpower, the Made-in-Michigan Film Festival will be taking a hiatus. This festival means a lot to us, and the last thing we want to do is let Michigan Filmmakers down, but we're not able to give this festival the time & energy it deserves. We believe in our mission, and so badly wish we could make our 2018 festival happen. With that being said, we're open to the idea of handing the festival off to a group of hard-working, organized people who wish to take over the MiMFF and bring it to the next level. If you're seriously interested in running our festival, please email email@example.com.

Another fantastic year for the students who attended the MPI Film workshop in Frankenmuth, MI. As always, it takes real talent to create a film in six short hours, let alone to have it ready for a public screening! Special thanks to the Made-in-Michigan Film Festival, the Frankenmuth City of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau, Frankenmuth Community Education, the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan, as well as MPI alum Lindy Lenk, Joe Thatcher, and Brian Mansour!
