Very well organized and fun event where the entire Frankenmuth community rallies to provide free extras to the filmmakers and vips. Lots of sponsors, terrific venue and very affordable to attend. Wish... they announced nominees ahead of time for the different categories to honor more of the terrific performances and crafts but overall an excellent festival. See More

It's an enjoyable festival. Friendly people, good films. Large enough to be interesting and small enough that you get to meet nearly everyone involved. I really appreciate Q&A time and the panels.

This festival was amazing!
I'm so pleased to see the work of the everyday people around me.
They have a gift, and festivals like this allow us to see it! A+

Very well organized event. Great films in a nice roomy theater. Great pamphlets so you can read a little about each film. They started all the sessions on time and gave announcements in the lobby so y...ou wouldn't miss anything. I got a chance to personally talk to several directors, producers and actors. It was a great time! Looks forward to next year! See More

Another great festival, I like the one screen format allowing a chance to see virtually all the films. Looking forward to spending another weekend with you next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed my two days at the event. Good films and the Q&A with film makers was outstanding. I'm looking forward to next year.

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that the 2018 MiMFF will not being happening. Due to a number of circumstances including health issues of the organizers and limited manpower, the Made-in-Michigan Film Festival will be taking a hiatus. This festival means a lot to us, and the last thing we want to do is let Michigan Filmmakers down, but we're not able to give this festival the time & energy it deserves. We believe in our mission, and so badly wish we could make our 2018 festival happen. With that being said, we're open to the idea of handing the festival off to a group of hard-working, organized people who wish to take over the MiMFF and bring it to the next level. If you're seriously interested in running our festival, please email paul@madeinmichiganfilmfestival.org.

Thank you!

A big THANKS to our 2017 Made-In-Michigan Film Festival videographer, Justin Jahn, for pulling together this great footage and interviews! #mimff17

Another fantastic year for the students who attended the MPI Film workshop in Frankenmuth, MI. As always, it takes real talent to create a film in six short hours, let alone to have it ready for a public screening! Special thanks to the Made-in-Michigan Film Festival, the Frankenmuth City of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau, Frankenmuth Community Education, the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan, as well as MPI alum Lindy Lenk, Joe Thatcher, and Brian Mansour!
