What Bands Do on Their Nights Off: The Inside Story. If you're Magnapop, you spend your one night off on a two-week tour with friends, sitting in Koks&Tales, the best bar in Hasselt (and Belgium and possibly the world) and drink cocktails with names like The Singer is a Ginger... and decide that Rob The Bartender should be a worldwide superstar... who nevertheless still has time to whip up drinks for us...
Dankjewel #2: more nice words & cool pics from Rene Rosierse in Artiesten Nieuws... Rene, you are LOVELY; thanks for coming along to our little end-of-tour party at De Kroepoekfabriek and enjoying what you heard...and yes, we hope this coming-back-to-play-every-year becomes a habit too 😚
Dankjewel department: mcsharq.nl & Mike Kramer for cool pics & smart words in De Afgrond about our poppodium NIEUWE NOR show: "nice and messy and honest", hey, we'll take that! And yes, let's definitely do it again next year - we might have a few surprises up our sleeves for you, too 😉
TEN wonderful days, NINE great venues full of smiling faces, FOUR happy band members... and TWO guys who made the whole damn thing happen: big love and thanks to the awesome Michael Cahen and Marcel Verhaar of Rise Agency. You rock... and thanks to you, we get to rock too! xx Magnapop
What a brilliant tour-ending show - with some loud & proud help from The Mighty Small and Jack Browning, and Den Bosch's finest rock band Teuk McGraig - at the fine, friendly and rockin' De Kroepoekfabriek.
We can't say enough good things about production manager Martin, sound engineer Jeroen, lighting tech Duncan, the stage crew, and all the people behind the scenes (Mandy! Puck! Elroy!) who helped make the show happen. It's amazing to think this whole lovely place is run by volunteers.
If Vlaardingen rocks - and it does! - we sure as heck know why. Oh, and they even gave us some kroepoek... although to be honest, we did drop some pretty big hints.
Hey, Dankeschön! What a nice review from a great music blog, pretty paracetamol, of our show at poppodium NIEUWE NOR in Heerlen. And some pretty cool pics too! See you next time we're back in Europe...
This reminds us what a brilliant time we had last year in the RTV studio recording with Ronald van Oudheusden... if there's a bigger music lover in the Netherlands, we haven't met him. Thanks for your warm welcome Ronald - keep rocking!
