Also from Brother Wesley a little lighter update;
And in today's (Saturday's) Globe and Mail in the Arts section there is a full page announcement from the National Arts Centre honouring Brother Arni Thorsteinson and Susan Glass as Visionaries. Like the late Brother Rankin, I met Arni early in my Phi Delt life and he is always a pleasure to see. He is a great contributor to Winnipeg and a credit to Phi Delta Theta. Congratulations to Arni and Susan.
Congratulations to Arni Thorsteinson from your Brothers at MBAlpha.
From Brother Wesley;
Shocked and saddened to read in today's Free Press that Brother Laird Rankin died. I met him in my 1st year and have always liked him. He was a fine fellow, a strong contributor to the Winnipeg community and a great Phi Delt.
In coelo quies est Brother Laird Rankin.
Just a "save the date" announcement for September... the Phi Delta Theta Alumni are holding a new event on Thursday September 14th. It s an Alumni Social evening and wives and partners are included. It will be held at the Winnipeg Winter Club with four food stations and a cash bar. We hope to honor some of our alums who are celebrating "Golden Legion": status. More information will follow soon. Great night at Founders Day last night! We even had a visit from Lorne Lantz (#933) who wasn't able to attend the dinner but dropped by to say hello and catch up. Special thanks to James Pappas who as usual put together a great event for us all. See you next year!
