Here's our Pasture-Raised chickens in Point Reyes. These are the girls who provide us our amazing eggs each day.
There has been a lot of talk about the new egg law going into effect in California tomorrow. When the media discuss the new "cage free" regulations they are are failing to mention the chickens will still, most likely, NEVER go outside. Our Marin Sun Farms laying hens are PASTURED. This goes above and beyond the new law. We raise chickens that forage the land and live a happy humane life. This produces an egg that is both delicious and nutritious. Here are some of our chickens out on pasture. They live a good life!

I tell anyone I can to eat here. My son and I happened to stop here just before closing on our first trip to the area and they were kind enough to seat us and it was so worth it! The food is as is the wine list. Much love to everyone! See More

This place rocks. We go here, not often enough, just a short drive from Novato and a good stop on the way home from the beach or Pt Reyes Station. Their burgers are the best, and we love the fried bru...ssels. The space is amazing, too. And don't get me started about the butcher. Best pieces of meat you've ever seen. My work schedule changed today & I decided to drive to West Marin for lunch. I had no idea where I would eat but when I saw only one car parked in front of Marin Sun Farms, I had to stop as I know quite often it can be a long wait to get a table. The taste of the beef burger was so extraordinarily delicious that I won't be interested in eating other burgers from now on. I almost don't want to review Marin Sun Farms, because I'd hate for more people to discover this semi-hidden and very precious gem, but I acknowledge that it's my duty as a citizen to alert the masses... to this deliciousness. If you're a big-shot, you can buy one of their high-quality and freshly butchered steaks and cook it yourself, but I recommend sitting back in their cozy restaurant space or, on a warm autumn evening, in their tranquil sunflower-filled backyard area, and letting the chefs work their magic. Great Burgers & convenient spot to stop before or after Point Reyes. Loved the Lamb burger which was moist & juicy. Beef burger was also delicious. Meat selection was very good with choice cuts and br...oths in the fridge section.

A few snafus with the friendly service included waiting for our table settings & condiments after we got our meals. And no one checked if we wanted any refills on yummy ice teas.
Quick suggestion to add more seating outside with umbrellas to take advantage of the nice weather.
Overall will stop by again for a burger fix - to fuel up or refuel before hiking/biking/kayaking etc.

How do I cook that Heritage Turkey? Heritage turkeys cook more quickly than supermarket turkeys. We recommend brining the turkey in your favorite brine overnight. Then take the turkey out an hour before placing in the oven at 350 degrees. Cook until the thick part of the thigh comes out between 150-155 degrees using a thermometer. Remove from oven, tent for 30 minutes and rest before slicing and serving.
