Sleeping in the Forest...by Mary Oliver (photo by Gerry Oar)
“I thought the earth remembered me,
she took me back so tenderly,
arranging her dark skirts, her p...ockets
full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before, a stone on the river bed,
nothing between me and the white fire of the stars
but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths
among the branches of the perfect trees.
All night I heard the small kingdoms
breathing around me, the insects,
and the birds who do their work in the darkness.
All night I rose and fell, as if in water,
grappling with a luminous doom. By morning
I had vanished at least a dozen times
into something better.”

Hello Friends, I have created http://www.gofundme.com/r9npz8n account in an effort to start a massage business here in Colorado. I have a dream of offering all the healing gifts Creator has given me here in my new home. I need some $$ assistance paying for the licensing, continuing education, background check, and liability insurance. I will also be offering classes, and teachings in the same location. Thank you for your consideration and thoughtful support.
I am creating all kinds of new things lately. The Colorado sunshine has sparked my creative flow. I spent Saturday snow shoeing a place they call the Crags. I love it here. The snow and sunshine are lifting my spirits once again. I am finding my way around too.
My first Artwalk at Gallery 113 in Colorado Springs was a great success. I did some singing with my hand drum. There were several friends in attendance. I am on my way! A Lakota man came down the street because he heard the drum and singing. We found that we knew a couple songs and I sang a Veteran's Honoring song for him. If that was the only reason I was on that street singing, that is enough! Thank you Creator for giving my life today.
