I can't imagine my life without this place. I go there for the comedy shows and events and I have had some of the better times in my life there.
Also I took a class on how to make comics there and it ...was awesome. See More

Great store with a lot of stock.
Popped in as I was on holiday in LA close to Hollywood and a short walk.

My favorite comic shop in the entire world. Best people, best events, best selection.

If Meltdown was a lady I would respectfully ask her to dinner. She'd turn me down, 'cause she'd be WAY out of my... league--but she'd be really cool about it, and we'd remain friends afterward. See More

I've always been a nerd but never really a comic book nerd... Nevertheless, this shop has a wealth of cool pop culture/sci fi memorabilia and even a small retro video games section (more my speed), so... I felt completely at home.

Personally I came from the UK to attend a live comedy event at their performance cum live podcast taping space. It was a fantastic evening and I returned later that week during daylight hours to browse the comics some more. Plus it's just down the street from the huge Guitar Center on Sunset. A must-visit for anyone who enjoys that sort of scene, and make sure to check out listings on their website to see if anything cool is happening at the NerdMelt Showroom.

One of my favorite places in Hollywood/Los Angeles!!! Not enough time and space to say all the great things I'd like to say, but if you get a chance, you should just drop in sometime and check it out!...!! Multimedia maniacs must check this place out!!! Not just a store, but a vital hub of the Creative Community!!! See More

my favorite comics shop. it's the only establishment i've liked enough to buy a shirt from, and i have two, in fact. whenever anyone talks to me about comics shops, meltdown is always the first one i ...recommend. great selection, excellent staff, and there always seems to be really good music playing. it's very popular so the comics i want aren't in stock sometimes, but that's not meltdown's fault and they always have most of what i'm looking for. it doesn't hurt that they're on the sunset strip, one of my favorite places in LA. hail meltdown. I'm from Texas, my friend took me to meltdown when I was in LA this past June because he knew I was a fan of Nerdist. I have to say the vibe of this comic shop was AWESOME! I felt like it was a place ...to actually hangout and not to just buy my next few comics. I love this place and plan on visiting again when I'm in LA. See More

We held our Legion M meetup there and were treated so kindly by Gaston and his entire staff. What a great time! The store itself is amazing and I found myself nostalgic at every corner.
