- Nowadays I find myself spending time with my pretty awesome wife and looking for ways to use the skills and abilities I have to help others, and to work with people to help themselves. Where would we be without each other, after all? Sometimes we need to give a little back.
I was an avid biker and like a lot of outdoor stuff (you know, camping, tennis, fishing...well, I guess that's not really a lot, but you get the idea. Stop judging me!), though a series of knee injuries has slowed me down a little. I try to do a little bit of everything. I hope to also stay active with theatre and radio through my twilight years (yeah, I'm not so old, but sometimes it sure feels like it). Anything where I could work with and help people would be good though. I have a lingering urge to get back on a volunteer fire department. I enjoy stuff like playing guitar, photography, and working on fountain pens.
I've got an '01 Lincoln LS, as well as a 1972 Triumph TR6 convertible which I am restoring and a 1953 Chevy 3100 pickup (for sale, if anyone's interested). I do appreciate a nice car.

Amanda: "You don't play video games all the time do you?"
Me: "No. And it's not a video game, it's a sports simulation."

What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow
Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man,
You cannot say, or guess, for you know only
A heap of broken images, where the sun beats,
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief,
And the dry stone no sound of water. Only
There is shadow under this red rock,
(Come in under the shadow of this red rock),
And I will show you something different from either Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

"Reverend, you will go to heaven with other good people. Even in heaven you be arguing about the various theories of religion. Your arguments will be an obstacle to my meditation. Therefore, I would prefer to got to hell. Then I will be of service to the suffering."
