Not content with ripping take home pay from low paid workers in 2017, the employer groups are at it again, this time questioning penalty rates altogether.

I fully support penalty rates, and will continue the fight to defend them in our community and workplaces.

"Going out and targeting low-wage workers is wrong – it's something that [the workers] don't need and don't deserve."
- Jessica Sanders, United Voice Acting Branch Secretary

Mr Grose said the "appropriateness" of penalty rates should be reviewed.

Health Crisis! I've been out talking to working families, older Tasmanians & regional communities & they've told me that they need politicians to focus on what's important. I'll be a strong voice for our health system and will work hard to make sure that our doctors and nurses have the resources they need to provide first class care. This video is a bit different to the typical political message, let us know if you like it and please share...

Jobs Matter! I've been out talking to working families and regional communities & they've told me that they need politicians to focus on what's important. Secure, quality jobs allow families to build a brighter future and give our regional communities the opportunity to grow. I'll be a strong voice for Jobs, help me stand up for what matters. It's been great to have the support of my Dad (Michael) out on the campaign trail.

Growing up as one of nine kids, Dad and Mum taught us the values of hard work, a fair go for all and love for family.

Dad loves running a Midson street stall, so make sure if you see him over the next few weeks you come and say hello.

Its a good time of year to be out and about talking with the community.

A reminder to everyone to Register to vote for the state election. Here is the online form to fill out.

I met with Tanya Plibersek, federal Deputy Labor Leader, as she discussed real concerns about the Liberals potential cuts to Tasmania's GST revenue.

Tassie could lose millions out of our state budget, affecting local jobs and services right across the community. Labor will fight hard against Liberal cuts in Tasmania.

Labor will always fight for a fair go for Tasmania. Cuts to our GST funding would be devastating for jobs and services in our state.

Only Federal and State Labor, led by Rebecca White MP, will keep Tasmania’s GST fair share safe.

Great to have Acting Opposition Leader Tanya Plibersek in Tasmania today to discuss Labor's commitment.

Labor will always be the Party of the worker. We are the Party for jobs and workers rights.

Stable, long term jobs in cities and regional Tasmania.

We are also the Party of Medicare, Superannuation, Public Education, the NDIS and the NBN.

...

The Liberal's have gutted our health system and run out of ideas for this state.

Labor will put people first.

The Hodgman Liberal Government has run our health system into the ground. $200 million worth of cuts and a Minister who takes no responsibility to fix his own mess means our system is under great strain.

Consulting firm Deloitte's review of the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) highlights dysfunction within the organisation's executive.

The Midson-mobile is really starting to clock up the miles.

Please give me a wave if you see me out and about in the next few days leading up to Christmas.

Labor's policy to phase out poker machines from Pubs and Clubs is a big change. That's why we've made sure the right supports will be in place for places like the St Helens RSL. www.pokieshurtpeople.com

I'm proud to be a part of Rebecca Whites Labor team that will put people first and remove poker machines from pubs and clubs.

As Premier of a majority Labor Government, we will phase out all poker machines from Tasmanian suburbs and towns, over five years. www.pokieshurtpeople.com

Maxine has a very personal story about why access to healthcare is so important. When people can't access healthcare it hurts families.

The community just can't understand why this Hodgman Liberal Government has cut $210 million from our health system.
