I have a double Ferret nation cage for my chinchillas. One of the wheels busted off during a move. Wheels are cheap plastic. I ordered one Tuesday and was told it would ship that day or Wednesday and ...it didn't. I had to pay 13.00 for it since I didn't have a receipt. Pay this much for a cage you'd expect good customer service but nope. I have a wood block that looks tacky where the wheel was. I can't move it to clean without startling my chins. I also have a prevue Hendryx cage and the wheels are much better. They have bearings in them and are more durable. No more Midwest products for my chins. See More

I have a Critter Nation double unit manufactured by MidWest Homes for Pets. It's a fantastic cage! My rats love it. It's easy for me to clean, but specious for my 4 little girl rats. It had one tiny f...law in it when I purchased it, and I contacted their customer service. They were friendly and very helpful. I'm so glad I went with this company's cage when deciding to upgrade a cage for my girl. :) I will always recommend this company and their cage! See More

I bought a Life Stages Crate for our new puppy. In theory I thought that this was going to be perfect for our new puppy. What a mistake!!!

I don't know what the thought was when they designed this cr...ate, but the locking mechanism is a joke. All it took for a rambunctious puppy to get out and begin ransacking the house was for her to get her nose down and lift up the cage door! Pop! Opens right up?!?!

We tried everything from putting things in front to, eventually putting the back up against a wall and things in front!

We have finally given up and gotten a cage with standard slide metal latches. Problem solved. I'm sure this may be fine for certain puppies, but not for high energy ones.

Poor design.

I recently bought a ferret nation 182 cage for my pet chinchilla and the cage is wonderful, amazing quality and very sturdy! The only issue I had was there was some rust in one of the hinges so I cont...acted their support team and Pam was very friendly and professional with my situation I sent some photos of the rust and they are sending brand new replacement parts. Great customer service! :) See More

😡 Bought a dog gate less than a year ago. Top hinge pin is made of plastic and snapped off and so now the gate is largely useless. Apparently parts cannot be purchased. Warranty requires sending the g...ate back before getting a replacement. The rest of the gate is steel. Well made and yet the hing is made of plastic. Poor design. I'd rather spend another $10 to have a gate with durable parts where they should be. It isn't so much that the gate was so expensive, its that is a waste to have a perfectly good gate become useless because of such poor design, unavailable parts and poor warranty service. See More

Literally battling with customer service for 3 days trying to get a rusted cage replaced. I've since proof of people clearly taking advantage of their warranties and getting replacements sent all whil...e keeping the old cage. I've even offered to send back my rust bucket of a cage. I'm furious and appalled that they're so careless about my animals living in these conditions. Will NEVER buy another thing from this company. See More

I just got my new ferret cage. While I like the cage, idk who the manufacturer of my other one I bought in 2013 is, this new one I like to never got together. I'm really gonna have to use zip ties o...n it because the wire part of floor because they are too short or something to stay in holes. It took about 3 hours to get it up... I do know there was two pieces that were crooked. This thing is too big to try to load and send back so I'm keeping it since it's up. I was exited when I ordered it but now... If I have to move it it will suck! See More

My wife had purchased a Midwest homes for pets wire dog cage "icrate" "1536dd" for our puppy, my puppy was 10 pounds at the time, she had broke out of the crate and could have gotten stuck on the wir...es if she had falling back in, luckily it did not happen. I had contacted the company and because I like many other people did not keep a copy of the receipt, they could not help me in any way, these crates are very poorly Madeline cheap manufacturing. I wasn't trying to get money back, I simply wanted to ship this crate back for a replacement, if anyone would like to see the photos of this crate and what could happen to your pet, please feel free to contact me via Facebook thanks. I just purchased the Hammock Hideaway and the Cozy Cube and the clips MidWest provided are the cheapest plastic possible. My one chinchilla took a single bite and the knob on the clip was gone! I imme...diately replaced all the clips with steel ones that I had left over from products I had previously purchased from, what I guess is, a more caring manufacturer of products that doesn't compromise a small animal's health for their bottom line.

I'm hoping my chinchilla passes the plastic he ate without a problem. Shame on you MidWest!!!!

Outstanding customer service!! The representatives are always wonderful to deal with. I have 8 Midwest crates and 3 Midwest exercise pens, and I love their products. I had a crate arrive damaged this... morning, but Midwest was awesome about dealing with the damages and getting me the parts I needed to fix it. No hassles and as polite as could be. I will always buy Midwest products! See More

Got a fantastic price on a Great Dane crate made by Midwest, not only that, but nearly 7 months later, when the fact that the crate was off-kilter started to bother me, I contacted Midwest by phone. ...The gal told me to take pictures and email them and she told me what the problem was just by the pictures! Super customer service, I know she would have replaced a part if that's what was needed, but it was just me having put it together slightly wrong. The crate is durable and large enough for even a large Dane..in fact, at 5'4" and rather curvy, I can get in there with my Dane! I strongly recommend the Dane crate to anyone with a Dane or another very tall and long dog. See More

I ordered a dog bed from them advertised as durable and my dog literally chewed through it in 20 minutes. Then they refused to refund as the product was "used" at this point. Ridiculous.

*****Beware OF WIRE DOG CRATES PLEASE READ AND SHARE,
I am posting picture of what happen to our cat Alex so you can see how important it is to cover the top of the wire dog crate.I have heard this ha...s happen to other cats and also dogs please share this info.I want your company to know and see what happen to our cat from one of your crate. Please make something to go on the top of the crate. No pets should even have this happen to them. We both are very upset and very mad that your crates caused this to our cat Alex.He broke his leg real bad and the vet told us his leg was in very bad shape from your crate. He also lost his leg because of your wire dog crates. I am also writing to your company and e-mailing the bills you need to be responsible company and do something like put something on top of all crates so this does not happen to any more pets ASAP. I will be keeping a eye out on this matter to see what if you put something on top of all wire dog crate. See More
