Tune of Kadron-Kaseyn
Located on Stallion Avenue in Pavilion One

Presented by: Copper View Farm, Wisconsin

You can look at a Kaseyn foal and see correct conformation on the outside: large hoof, short cannons, low set hocks, short strong back, strong loin, long deep hip, low sloping shoulder, and expressive type head. Kaseyns’ lineage is built to find his true inner strength of heart as a fierce competitor and protector, and he passes this impressive zeal to each of his foals.

He loves to work, turn, and dictate to the cows, but he will not hurt them beyond driving them in direction. He has calves and foals born in his pasture and he watches over them like a knight of honor. Kaseyn has to be the most gentle and loving gentleman, and his foals love their people!

Breed & Discipline Demonstration: Curly Horse
Presented By: International Curly Horse Association

While the exact origin of the American Curly Horse is currently being researched, experts know that Curly horses were found in North America in the 1800s and used as mounts by Native Americans. They were discovered by white settlers in wild herds of mustangs at the turn of the 20th century. There is also evidence of Curly horses living in South America.

Curlies are most commonly chestnut colored, but they can be found in every color from bays, blacks, and greys, to appaloosa and pinto markings. They range in all sizes and body types, and they may be gaited, but all Curlies carry a dominant gene for a unique curly coat of hair.

Breed & Discipline Demonstration: Arabian
Presented By: Region 10 Arabian Horse Association

One of the oldest pure breeds, the Arabian horse was developed as a desert war mount of the Bedouins. Mares known for their courage, speed, and endurance were prized above all others, and war mares were priceless. Horses often changed hands through successful races, when winners would claim the losers’ horses.

The Bedouins are credited with selective pure breeding and keeping breeding records, which helped to maintain the purity of the breed. Arabian horses started to be exported to other countries, and in the late 1600s to early 1700s, three influential Arabians were imported to England. The Godolphin Arabian, the Byerley Turk, and the Darley Arabian became the foundation of the Thoroughbred breed. Because of their genetic potency, the Arabian has influenced almost every modern light horse breed.
