An awesome, annual free winter carnival event. You can see the snow being made/formed in the weeks leading up to the sculpture contest. You can watch the people as they sculpt. Each year there’s a big... thing like the maze, which is cool. It is always icy, so you need to be prepared and careful. They have a couple little food trucks too for coffee/cocoa/popcorn. Also - easy street parking nearby. Nice, low key, creative, free event to check out! See More

The sculptures were incredible & we had a blast at the quarter midget races but were definitely surprised that there wasn't any food or warm drinks available (food trucks, food stands, hot chocolate).... There also was not an outhouse for the first couple hours of the races. We were very thankful when one was brought over! See More

Need more sand and staff available. My mom fell and hurt her shoulder, another lady fell and got a bloody nose and a loose tooth then while helping her a lady fell and hurt her knee and 2 others fell well. There needs to be sand or something put down to help prevent this. Some of the snow sculptures weren’t even started. See More

Very cool, spread out just enough. I went at night, so the only complaint I had was that not all the sculptures were lit up, but other than that, it was amazing.

Something we look forward to every year. Giant snow slide, rides on the Vulcan truck and beautiful snow sculptures! How can you go wrong? Dress of the weather and you’ll do just fine.

First time there. The slide was so much fun...we went early, so wasn't to busy. A little icey -but they were putting lots of sand down.

Had a lot of fun with my kids. A little bummed that the royal family hadn’t arrive when scheduled, but get that it is hard to coordinate.

With the St. Paul Winter Carnival ending Sunday, Twin Cities residents got in a last bit of snow-festival fun. What better place for this than the Vulcan Snow Park on the Kidway at the St. Paul Fai…

It's our last day, and the weather is beautiful! The slide is open and the snow sculptures (with a little help from King Boreas) are still standing and looking almost as fresh as the day they were finished. Come on out today for the last hurrah until next year!

A great piece by one of our first-time amateur snow sculptors:…/wingin-it-at-the-amateur-sno…/

Exploring the Vulcan Snow Park and its snow sculptures is one of the best ways to end winter, but making a snow sculpture for it is even better. See the state and amateur sculptures through Feb. 11.
