It's become like a second home to me. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. I was always afraid to go to the gym because of judgement or competition, but you don't have to worry about that here. The... instructors for the classes are welcoming and motivating. So far I have done Yoga with Tracey and Tai Chi with Charlie. I enjoy both classes and look forward to them. See More

The staff is very welcoming. Our family has enjoyed water aerobics, yoga, Thi Chi, weight room, track, and basketball court. Something to do for the entire family. Tracy's yoga class is my personal favorite.

YMCA Summer Camp or Kindercamp for my son, is hands down, the way we will spend summer break every year! While my 5 year old is excited for school to start again, thank goodness, he is sad that Kind...ercamp is ending. Cooper loves the swim time and and organized play as well making new friends all while having a great time! The staff at Kindercamp are the best. Not only does the little man love everyone but the staff make themselves available for any and all questions or concerns. Kindercamp has taken a load off of mom's shoulders as well in that not only do i not have to worry about finding childcare in the summer but Cooper is excited to go, versus crying at drop which no mother wants. Highly recommend Monroe County Y for Summer/Kindercamp!

I think they need more programs for seniors and better equipment for the water classes, seems as if most money is spent on the equipment for the weight room for the younger generation! We seniors pay... our membership fees and use broken equipment in our water classes. See More

I had a great workout, got our paper filled in for our five things to get done so we can win a prize. I love the gym and the pool at the YMCA and I really feel great after every workout.

Aquatics department is horrible and unorganized and the director is unresponsive. They have now restricted even private lessons from non-members for a period of time which invokes a delay in continue...d progress to be made by the lessons. Non-members are already expected to pay a premium over the member fee's so it makes no sense to delay the registration process for private based lessons. Our business will go elsewhere. See More

Kind of expensive for one person to join. Want to bring my granddaughter with me every other week to swim. Add another twenty dollars to my already expensive cost. She belongs to other YMCA , not in t...he gateway area, so I have to pay extra to bring her. See More

They cater to people with 9-5 jobs. Was paying for next level fitness classes when they cut the daytime hours. The rest of us who need to be with our children in the morning and evening get the shaft.... Not enough to keep my membership. See More

Great place and the equipment is nice. Only thing I would say is I wish there were more swim classes in evening for us night owls.

Together―one by one―we are making our communities better places to live, work, play, and learn. Y members can utilize one or all of the 24 locations that are most convenient. That may be near their home, workplace, school or while they are out having fun.
