Been using Monzo for months, took it abroad through 3 countries and never had any issue. I've set up standing orders from my bank to top it up by a set amount e...ach week which, in an indirect way, has helped me budget my money as I can only spend what's on it until the next top up (I choose not to top up from the app although that is a handy feature). Also use the chat feature when I needed to reverse a payment and the customer service was excellent. Highly recommend! See More

I cannot stop raving about this card! I found out about Monzo through Money Saving Expert as a student desperate to save cash and decided to take the chance- I'...m so glad that I did. I've been in Malawi for the past 6 weeks and being able to manage my finances using my iPhone felt like such a luxury! On one occasion I had trouble with the ATM not accepting my pin which led to me being locked out of my account, but the instant messaging system meant the Monzo team were on the case within 10 minutes and the problem was solved. Even in the middle of Africa I felt well supported and I didn't need to waste money calling the bank!
Furthermore, there is no need to tell them where you are travelling to and whilst my friend got stung with additional fees for using her post office card, all I got charged was the MasterCard exchange rate.
Well done Monzo, keep up the good work...I'll support you all the way!

Just wanted to say thank you Monzo for a fabulous service. I received my card within just two days, topped it up and spent three days using it in Warsaw. And it... was a breath of fresh air compared to other prepaid cards I have used in the past! I love the app, as it has some really great features. I especially like that any money spent or withdrawn is immediately deducted and a notification of the amount sent to my phone. It was so easy to keep track, especially with the daily total (although, it would be great to see daily totals listed for previous days too please!). The exchange rate was really good and there were no fees at all to use it. And the money I have left I can simply continue to spend the same way in the UK. It's even contactless! It's 2017 and it's so great to see that holiday spending has finally caught up! :D See More

I've never been able to stick to a budget before Monzo! I top it up each week with my weekly allowance for that time and it really helps me keep to it! Plus I f...eel safe in the knowledge that if my card was lost or stolen I could cancel it immediately, and would be notified straight away if anyone spent money on there.
I've recommended it to all my friends and have converted 4 so far!

I have been using this amazing app for a couple of weeks. Payment card worked in three countries without any problem. I can freeze and defrost it at any-time, u...ber-secure! Hassle-free top ups from UK bank accounts and debit cards. Payments in euros, pounds, dollars, liras, and francs work perfectly. Their exchange rates are fantastic. They don't settle it immediately, wait for a couple of days/hours for the finalisation of their inter-bank payments, which can be understandable. The monzo.me thing is genius. You collect your payments from other people through their debit cards. I plan to become a small shareholder and investor of this challenger bank. I think it'll be one of the most important high street banks not in UK, but everywhere in globe. I'm excited with the recent news that they're going to offer current accounts and IBAN numbers with real sort-codes! Yay, I ❤️ Monzo. See More

Monzo are awesome!, can't wait till the bank account gets released in the summer......this is the way banking should be. I love the fact your balance is instant...ly updated and you receive a notification. I took the card � to Amsterdam and can honestly say I had no issues at all even got a better exchange rate. Keep up the good work & well done for probably making the best bank yet! � See More

I applied for a card 2 weeks ago and was put on a waiting list. Several times I was asked to send out invites to get my card faster. When the time has finally c...ome to send me my card, I get a message that Monzo is not available in my country. For a company that claims to have great customer service and not using the dirty tricks of the big banks this is kinda odd. See More

This IS the future! Been using it in the UK for many months. This week though it has come into its own: abroad. I'm using this card in Spain right now and it...'s a game changer! Total clarity on exchange rates, not being nobbled on hidden fees, the app is hugely useful for topping up etc and so far ... all ATMs and merchants happily accepting it! My wife finally seen the light and begged for my last golden ticket 😊 I'm delighted. 'nuff said. Thank you for a fantastic product Monzo! See More

Love the Brand! I like the idea that one day we will be banking from our homes and not having to trail into a branch. I never have time to go to the bank so to ...have this as an online service is great.

Hopefully it comes to it full potential and I can close down my BOS Account soon.

This pre-paid card that closely tracks spending with a smart phone app is a great idea, and works very well up to a point. However, there are 2 major flaws whic...h make this card rather pointless in my experience so far -

1) There are pre-programmed spending categories that you can set monthly targets against, however, there is no way to edit these categories or add new categories. You basically have to split your spending targets into these pre-programmed categories, and if your spending doesn't fit into these categories, then setting targets becomes an issue.

2) If you pay for item (e.g. dinner or drinks) on the card, the amount will be deducted from the spending category it falls into. If you then split the bill with other people, the money they owe will appear on your card, however it will not be deducted from the spending category that purchase falls into. For example, if I go to dinner with a friend, spend £30 and pay for this on my Monzo card, £30 is then deducted from my Eating Out category and spending target. If I then split the bill with my friend who also has a Monzo card, they will transfer £15 to my card, however my Eating Out category will still show as minus £30.

These are two simple things that if fixed will make this card much more useable. However, up until it is fixed, the spending targets do not work, and make the card somewhat pointless. I will not be topping up my Monzo card again until these issues are resolved.

I've been using Monzo since December last year and love it! I love the app showing me how I'm spending my money and how easy it is to top up and pay other Monzo friends. Plus it's a great color card and people are always commenting on it!

Fantastic to keep track of your spending at home, and amazing as a travel card! I am currently in Portugal and it has been brilliant to simply transfer my spend...ing money to my Monzo account and jump on the plane without having to worry about exchanging money and carrying thousands of pounds around with me in cash! The instant notifications are great, telling you how much you have spent on the transaction in both the foreign currency and GBP. Free withdrawals from ATM's is also brilliant for your spontanious ice cream/hot dog money! Quick tip, if asked whether you'd like to pay in Euro's or GBP, always select Euro's, it will work out cheaper! Another great thing about Monzo is that you don't have to worry about re-exhanging your unspent money when you get home! I highly recommend taking Monzo abroad! See More

Works well as a stored value card. Only been rejected once and we were warned that may happen on the day.
Great app accompanies it, that's the real benefit, and... as long as their home grown banking engine works well (and is secure) they have the ability to set new standards in bank customer service. I've invested in the Crowd funding. See More

Great service - thank you for cutting through the currency card chaos & providing simplicity. I've been using Monzo for a few months now. It is a nice, clean and simple way to handle everyday money. I like the instant notifications of spending, which hel...ps to prevent fraud and I love that they provide clarity on exchange rates when I travel abroad. They also categorise spending really well to make it easy to see where I am spending my money. See More

Finally a bank that listens to its users and aim's to please, as opposed to serve.
The transparency of the company, especially during its infancy is amazing, es...pecially as a company that is aiming and showing to us that it plans to progress and is doing fairly well in doing so.

While I am waiting to see what happens in regards to current accounts, I can say that it is amazing that a company is punching through the surface and providing much needed modernization to an essential piece of society that we use daily, by being focused around tech that everybody has in their pocket, as opposed to it being a half assed side addition to their services.

Thanks for everything you've done, and for everything you strive to do!

Perhaps you'd like to explain how none of us in this household have this app & hadn't heard of you...
Until today....... my husband has has £1,600 taken from hi...s account in 2 days..... £1,400 was taken in one day in transactions of £100 & £200. How on earth have you not picked up on the amounts being taken from the same account in one day!!!! Where is your security on this?? Absolutely fuming!!! AVOID USING THIS APP !!! We've not got it & this has happened to us!! Thanks for that!! We have reported these fraudulent transactions but you should be checking amounts taken out from one account as other banks do!!
