There is so much to do here for kids!!! I have a 4 and 5 year old and we never can do everything in 1 day! We ended up buying an annual membership so we can go any time and focus on one area at a time...! They love the 4D and 3D films, the rainforest is great, the aquarium is wonderful, and we can’t wait to use the water park in the summer! And please remember, this is a non for profit! So supporting Moody Gardens goes to a good cause to preserve, research, and educate people and young ones to love our beautiful planet. And the added bonus is the fun additional activities throughout the year like the Festival of Lights and Ice Land. We are proud members and I highly recommend a membership or at least a day pass to get the most bang for your buck! See More

Took my family of 6 on Saturday 3/17/18. Had a great experience. We arrived early around 10:30am. Parking isn’t marked clearly, so that was annoying, but eventually we parked & figured it out. Stayed ...until around 6:30pm, so we pretty much got to enjoy everything that was open. My kids favorite was the 4D & the interactive show. I really enjoyed the aquarium as so did my husband. Overall fun day! We walked over 4 miles & I felt like it was worth it. I’m giving a four star bc the parking is not clearly marked (we weren’t the only ones who couldn’t figure it out!) & prices could be a little cheaper. Staff was friendly & informative. I’d recommend this to anyone heading to Galveston, as it was a fun filled day for my family. See More

Went New Year’s Eve 2017 with an evening pass for two adults....$92 total. Parking was free. Only kiddie movies played in evening at 3 & 4D theaters. Was hoping to see something adults would enjoy. sure you see Rain Forest before dark because no lights inside so you can’t see anything. Garden Restaurant had a very limited buffet but was actually pretty tasty ($17.99 per person) could have done better at China Star buffet.....Festival of Lights....Meh......Iceland was cool no pun.....ZIP line and paddle boat closed because of weather (not their fault)....Moody Gardens is really starting to show its age. Time for a major remodel. Need to hire better employees. Most were teens with attitudes and no clue how to talk to people with respect. This visit was a test run for next year with family but we will not be back. If you have kids it’s probably cool for New Year’s Eve. Gonna do a hotel party next year.... See More

Everything is awesome about this place! Those complaining about prices being expensive, you need to realize those animals need to be fed special diets and need veterinarian check ups and care which is... not cheap. Also people need to be paid to clean those enclosures. maintaining a small aquarium is expensive let alone the ones at moody gardens with millions and millions of salt water gallons. Keeping sharks alive is hard enough by itself! Good job Moody Gardens! And thank you to everyone who spends money at this place to keep these animals alive ❤️💕 See More

We had a nice time BUT it is WAY overpriced for what you get. There was very little information available as to what starts when and old is an adult? Are kids under a certain age free? W...hy doesn’t Santa come out at 5:30 when they let you start walking through. We felt very nickle and dimed and spent a small fortune. We enjoyed the Iceland experience but it was very quick, we enjoyed the lights but the kids nagging to ice skate or slide or buy this and that at astronomical prices really took away from the fun for us adults. This is just for the aquarium.
First off, the exhibits were great, and so were the staff. Very clean, very informative, very cool. Second, I arrived late. I got there at 5pm and was told they close a...t 6pm. I get that I wasn't going to be able to take my time strolling through the exhibits, and I chose to pay the $63.90 FOR TWO ADULTS. But its going good until I get to the seals and sharks, and I get to look at them for about 5 seconds before the lights shut off and I can't see anything inside the exhibit. I ask a staff member who says that the seals need darkness to know it's night time, which is totally understandable. But what isn't ok is that I paid $63.90 and didn't get to see something, not because I took too long and the aquarium closed, but because the exhibit closed before the aquarium. If the seals need to go to bed at 5:20, then close the aquarium at 5:20. If they don't, then keep them up an extra 40 minutes. Just because I came later doesn't mean I should get to see less for the same price, especially when that price is as outrageous as $63.90 for such a small aquarium. See More

I took my 6 year old. We had the best time! I bought the day pass for each of us. Definitely the way to go if you plan on staying all day. The only negative I have to say is that the Garden Restaurant... seemed dirty. Our table was sticky, crumbs left in our chairs and food all over the floor....and the floor is carpet. It was pretty nasty. Otherwise, we had an amazing time! See More

Had to call it an early day after what happened 🙄 after paying about $200 for the day at Moody Gardens we sit down to have lunch at one of their concessions. A roach decides to sit on the counter next... to my food and so I was like "whoa" and when the cashier noticed why she smacked it with her hand then proceeded with my order. It was minutes later when she decided that maybe she should wash her hands and apologize 🙊😶 See More

Staying at Moody Gardens was great. We walked the light show, the Ice Sculptures, Aquarium, play ground, sled slide, and restaurants, and never needed our car. It took two days to accomplish all thi...s, but it was fun, not too crowded, and very well done. The hotel was extremely well decorated for Christmas and the rooms were spacious, clean, updated, and well appointed for every need. As a special treat they offered Smores by the pool. I would recommend the hotel and Moody Gardens to family and friends. See More

Great family vacation, will def do a membership next time!!!! Words of advice though, do the rainforest during the DAY! That was my only regret and dont buy any of the drinks at the ice bar, $8... for 4 oz of beer! Beer is normal prices outside of Iceland, but they are out of their minds with that Ice Bar! A LOT of the jelly tanks were closed but its still an amazing experience! We will go back See More

Went with my mom and my 18 year old son and 15 year old daughter. Had a blast got the after 4pm holiday value pass for $ 44 . Spent 1/2 hr. In Iceland .. beautiful. Awesome ice slide. Very fu...n. And bbrrrr cold. Ran thru the rainforest and aquarium. Rainforest was dark so didn't really see anything , but it was creepy knowing all the animals where there you just couldnt see them. Aquarium was great. Saw the Rudolph movie and the Davinci exhibit.
So we ran our legs off. Will be back and pace ourselves lol.

The aquarium was nice enjoyed seeing all the different sea life , especially petting starfish. But too hot and too loud, with so many kids could hear anything maybe put it some noise canceling Also you guys do not have enough seating in your snack bar area in either building. The rainforest was very nice. Enjoyed the bats, monkeys, sloths and birds. See More

We have had a season pass for more then 3 years now and it has been worth the money every year! Palm beach and the aquarium are our favorites, and where we can be found most weekends!

Always love our visits. Thanks for providing transportation to my vehicle. Sorry did not get the bus driver in duty Sunday. But she gave excellent service. Please give her my thanks again. My grandd...aughter misses the butterfly 🦋 interaction part. That was her favorite. Most of the kids so enjoyed that area. What’s in place to bring it back. They love butterflies so much. And I too. Gods beautiful breath of fresh air. Thanks again for excellent customer service in all areas. See More

Thanks to our amazing clients we got free tickets for the whole family. We went to the aquarium, rainforest, Ice Age 4D, and the colonel! The kids had a blast! With that being said, we will probably v...isit again soon but only if we get free tickets. As we were redeeming our tickets, we over heard all day pricing for 3 people at $260! We are a family of 7! Other than that everything was great, friendly staff, and overall great experience. See More

Specifically reviewing the Iceland exhibit. Awful. You buy tickets for a set time and are then herded into what feels like the entrance to a gas chamber. People are encouraged to shove together to “ room”. It is clearly a line, there is no need to shove to make room for anyone. The woman in the entrance area could not possibly have her acoustics any louder, I’m sure there is no higher volume. Bottom line, if you like being armpit deep in herds of random people pushing you in a poorly ventilated tent for 45 minutes, this is for you! See More

My family and I enjoyed Iceland, the Rainforest, the Festival of Lights, and the aquarium. By the way, the renovated aquarium was very impressive.

Life is what you make it. So, we donned our ugly... Christmas Sweaters and took as many pictures as possible. Nothing is perfect, but a positive outlook goes a long way. We'll be back next year. See More

We enjoyed ourselves. We purchased a Groupon, which saved a lot of money. I do agree with the others that the pricing without Groupon or other discounts is a bit high. If we had not purchased a Groupo...n I would not have purchased. Outside of the pricing, it was great! See More
