I was so shocked and amazed when Maree Todd MSP held up my novel before the The Scottish Parliament. As an author, it's a moment I will never forget and as someone with Lyme the debate was an acknowledgment that action must be taken about Lyme disease.

Thank you to all the MSP who are speaking out about Lyme disease, to Lyme Disease UK and to all who are doing their bit to spread awareness.

Big thank you to The Nairn Bookshop for writing a review for the talk I gave! 🙏

Can’t wait for the talks that I have coming up!

Is there somewhere near you that you think might be interested in me giving a talk? If so then feel free to make any suggestions 😊.

Read this book in a couple of days as I kept needing to go back to it. It's brilliant, so inspiring. To get such a personal insight into what someone with Lymes has to go through was a real eye-opener... as to how debilitating it really is... I had no idea just how much Lymes could affect someone's whole existence. It is such a clever way of spreading awareness. Really really recommended. See More

Well done! I have just spent all day reading your book and just wanted to say really well done. I highlighted lot's of things which mirrored our families experience of Lyme. I liked the way you gave ...the perspectives of sufferer, carer and friend and I think your book will be invaluable to people in the midst of illness, before treatment, during or after treatment. Got this book from my sister who raved about it. Read it in 2 days as could not put it down, you can just see the main person and feel for her as she is not getting any answers, knowing someone who ha...s very similar symptoms, I could totally relate to her and how everyone round about her had to try and deal with it. Nothing fluffy in this book and all laid bare, a must read. See More

This is a very moving book that opens your eyes to the struggles of living with lyme disease in a tragically beautiful way. Very well written and a real page-flicker.

What a read! You will not be able to put it down. Following Morven on her journey to find a diagnosis and to hear her slow but steady recovery. A brilliantly written book. A must for any reader.

I'm so excited to have a stall at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. So many brilliant bands playing, including the Full Tilt Ceilidh Band. I really hope I'm close enough to hear them play.
Such a wonderful and exciting moment when the Full Tilt Ceilidh Band introduced Finding Joy to the crowd at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival - thanks guys! Ps. Camera skills were not entirely my own 😂

I thought ticks feeding on animals and humans was horrible enough...never mind them feeding on each other!

Fascinating article by LiveScience.

A tiny tick had an even tinier bloodsucking hitchhiker.

Did anyone else look out the window this morning and pull this face at the horrible weather 😂

I’ve spoken to a lot of people recently who thought that they’re safe from tick bites and Lyme disease in this cold weather we are currently having, so it’s important to remember that you and your pets can contract Lyme all year round.

Whether it's wet and windy or warm and bright, ticks and biting insects are a potential health hazard when you or your pets are enjoying the outdoors. Visit to help prevent bites and transmission of disease in the UK.

Thank you very much Mavis, at The Nairn Bookshop, for taking the time to write a review for Finding Joy and the talk I gave in your beautiful bookshop! What a brilliant night it was with such kind people and a fantastic turn out.…/9c5495d3-7147-4779-800…/en_GB/…

This book was written as a work of fiction but is very closely linked to Morven-May’s own struggle with the devastating Lyme Disease.

On this day last week something extremely incredible had happened to me - I had woken up having celebrated my birthday for the first time in nine years! My incredible friends and family held a surprise party for me with Full Tilt Ceilidh Band.

How lucky am I to have people in my life as miraculous as all of you. Thank you to everyone for coming (and for many of you who traveled so far) and to all who have gotten me to the stage where I’m well enough to celebrate my birthday. You mean the world to me! I adored every moment of it. I’ve spent this week in bed recovering but it was 100% worth it.
