I was so shocked and amazed when Maree Todd MSP held up my novel before the The Scottish Parliament. As an author, it's a moment I will never forget and as someone with Lyme the debate was an acknowledgment that action must be taken about Lyme disease.
Thank you to all the MSP who are speaking out about Lyme disease, to Lyme Disease UK and to all who are doing their bit to spread awareness.
I'll be here with HRM Ceramics & Glass so come along if you can and get yourself in the Christmas spirit with some great gift ideas.

*Very special author event alert!*
Fiona MacBain - Writer, Tuesday 23rd January 2018.
Brought up in Fort William, Fiona has self-published two thrillers....
GLASDRUM (one town, five women, dark events…) is a dark humoured thriller set in Lochaber and DAUGHTER, DISAPPEARED (love, death, culture clash, escape…) a hard hitting thriller set in Tunisia, where Fiona lived for three years.
Fiona will talk about the real-life events that inspired both her novels, including her own ‘escape’ from Tunisia with her young baby which is mirrored in Daughter, Disappeared, and how the locations and memories of her childhood influenced the plot of Glasdrum.
She’ll also explain how and why she decided to self-publish instead of following the traditional publishing route and the unexpected success that has brought.
Her books have been hugely popular in The Highland Bookshop and we are sure this will be another fascinating evening in-store. Keep an eye on Facebook for more details.
