This was my second time at MOP and it was even more amazing than the first time. The wonderful hostess helped me with my friend's surprise party and the bartend...ers are so nice. In fact, all staff are amazing! My favorite plates are the jackfruit and mushroom buns, edamame spring rolls and the avocado toast. The drinks are also amazing! Such a surprise having a tiki bar on the east side. Really really love the drinks and had no idea the food was vegan until we asked the server. Kenny was awesome and can't wait to go back. Great tropical drinks with just enough kitsch to make it stand apart from the rest of the bars

An east village oasis flush with the chilliest of vibes. Cocktails are creative, intriguing and OH SO DELICIOUS!!!

Plant-based menu is packed full of flavor that will please even this carnivore.

Ravi DeRossi's latest buzzed-about bar is "postmodern Polynesian" spot Mother of Pearl, a reboot of the Gin Palace space he shut down in 2014 because it was lit...erally sinking into the ground. Former Top Chef contestant Andrew D'Ambrosi mans the menu of pan-Asian plates (SPAM fried rice, pork-and-shrimp pot stickers, chili-rubbed tiger prawns), while Jane Danger and Austin Hennely lead a cocktail program driven by fantastical presentations. Caribbean colors, striped paper straws, flaming garnishes, and left-field touches like absinthe cream and “acid-adjusted orange juice” are par for the course. It's fun without feeling forced, if a bit expensive and heavy on the booze, but something *has* to be done about the dreadful waitstaff, which was dizzy at best and totally absent at worst.
