Natural Science Division's Inaugural STEM Transfer Night is on Thursday November 10, 2016, 6-8 pm. The intent of this event is to support our STEM students with the following:
- Understanding the STEM Transfer Pathway
- Sharing resources that are available through the STEM Center
- Usage of counseling to support their educational goals ...
- Helpful hints and tools to support persistence as STEM career pathway majors
- New California State University CSU (23 campuses) and University of California UC (10) transfer requirements
- Spotlighting clubs and peer activities for current and potential STEM students
- Accepting scheduling requests for individual counseling sessions for attendees

Columbia University School of General Studies Admissions Presentation
A Columbia University rep. will be on campus to discuss competitive college admissions and academic choices. All honors students are welcome, however, he has particular interest in non-traditional transfer students with work and life experiences.

Pre-Law Day - 9am Saturday, October 1st at Chapman University for community college students who might be interested in going to law school. There will be information about transferring to a university and preparing for applying to law schools.
I think the SOC 20H class will be cancelled unless the students who signed up for Rillorta's section, register for my section. It is the same days and time, juct in another classroom. The CRN is #26526. I need at least 3 more in this class before Monday.

Student Center Focus Group - This THURSDAY!
Mt. SAC will be building a Student Center. This building will provide students a space to sit, connect, and engage with one another. We need to hear from students in order to understand how they will utilize the space and what should go into this new building. Please sign up for one of two focus groups listed below. LUNCH will be provided, and the meeting will take about 40 minutes.
