MVRT recently held a Diversity in STEM Symposium! Check out this article written by Monta Vista’s student newspaper, El Estoque!

http://www.elestoque.org/…/empowering-women-stem-field-per…/

Over 200 students attended the event to listen to six speakers speak about their experiences with discrimination throughout their career. Gender diversity in STEM is a highly relevant issue in today’s world, and we’re excited to see that our school’s student body supports us in our goals to even out the gender demographics in STEM fields!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we’re thankful for all of our students, mentors, parents, alumni, and sponsors! We wouldn’t be where we are today without you all and are infinitely grateful for your support.

We’re also thankful that there’s only 43 days left to kickoff! Who’s ready to #powerup?

MVRT had a blast at CalGames this weekend! It was a fantastic way to end our 2017 season!

After a rough start on Saturday, the team came together, pulling through and becoming CalGames champions as part of the fourth seed alliance! A huge thank you to our alliance partners, FRC Team 4904: Bot-Provoking and FRC Team 846 - The Funky Monkeys - we had a great time playing with you guys and couldn’t have done it without you!

#tbt to the MVRT banquet this summer! Our banquet was packed with fun speeches and traditions. It was also a bittersweet goodbye to our seniors, who are now freshmen in college and MVRT alumni that will continue spreading a love of STEM and robotics in their communities.

To our new alumni - best of luck in college! And to our current members - best of luck this coming school year!

After a rough start, MVRT ended qualifications as the second seed alliance captain, making it to eliminations! A huge thanks to our alliance partners Circuit Of Life Robotics, Team 649: M-SET Robotics, and Team 971: Spartan Robotics for helping us put up a fantastic fight against the seventh seed alliance!

Catch us at CalGames next month at Evergreen High School!
