So I was just doing a bit of reading this morning and came across some very INTERESTING info from a Stanford study where people were receiving phone calls every two weeks where they were asked:
✔️How much exercise was done in the past week?
✔️ How the level of exercise could be increased the following week?
✔️And were any workouts missed (with an emphasis on the importance of getting back on track)?
Here's the AWESOMENESS.......
On average, the study found that by JUST THESE PHONE CALLS, the exercise you do can be boosted by 78%!!!!
So if you find yourself struggling with consistency, as I know I have, look at the people around you and ASK FOR SUPPORT!
Find someone who will check in with you periodically and ask you these important questions, OR see if you can recruit a workout buddy to join you in your fitness journey.

Good news is, I'm 4.4 lbs down from last Monday with proper clean eating and 30 minutes of exercise each day...
BUT... My roommate is now on day 6 and going strong with the flu and after 30 minutes of a LIGHT workout I fear it's coming!
Below is a picture of my protocol that I've taken religiously this past week to build my immune system (and some items that are normally there are not shown as I've run out)....
Wanting to pull out the big guns tonight, I busted out what I like to refer to as "The Bible" (i.e. a book by practicing herbalist, Rosemary Gladstar called Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health).
I started this journey exploring natural and herbal remedies vs. allopathic medicine when I was 19 and learned SO much about how to listen to my body.
That said, tonight I was excited to see I had all the ingredients for an easy cold and flu fighting recipe she mentioned... Sauteed onions and garlic with a LOT of curry!!!
...sounds terrible I know, but I don't mind onion if they are cooked soft and I always use them for colds. Never really had to deal with the flu though so this should be interesting 😬😬😬
Then of course I had to find my zinc spray and a "5 Thieves" oil blend from my oil box. I can't tell you guys that any of this will "CURE" me, but to treat and comfort while giving my body the power to fight back.. it's the only way I'll go!
Sorry for such a lengthy post but I felt it important to share some available alternatives for those wanting to try something more natural.

So far, my left butt cheek and quad feels much more sore than the right, but my energy is up and believe it or not, doing all the cardio after 8 hours of pumping out massages has ACTUALLY helped neck and shoulder flare ups #winning
It's only one week guys, but I DID IT!!!! And next week I'm gonna CRUSH IT again just to prove I can. Love you all and thanks for the support ❤️ Happy Saturday!

A Halloween Story
On Saturday night, the night of Howie's Memorial, I opted to walk home and get some fresh air. Walking barefoot always gives me a calming effe...ct when the town is still.
As I walk past my street where my house used to stand, I flashed several pics without flash of the debris piles. I did so just to record what the piles looked like in the moonlight.
I forgot about the pics...., until today.
This is what I found.
My interpretation? Even when times are at their darkest, even when we are feeling alone, we are not. ALWAYS, there are points of light around you, angels of light in the dark, watching over you.
