THE RACE IS ON! A NEW EXHIBIT!

It's DERBY time in Kentucky and My Old Kentucky Home is proud to roll out the roses, silks, hats, and more with our new Kentucky Derby exhibit, the "Race is On!" starting on April 18th and ending May 31st!

Our new exhibit includes items from the world-famous horse, Secretariat, including racing silks from Secretariat's horse farm "The Meadow!" Also, see costumes worn by Diane Lane & John Malkovich and props used in Disney's hit movie SECRETARIAT!

The song, “My Old Kentucky Home” will be performed on each tour by our talented guides!

Fantastic, bizarre, imaginative, over-the-top, and gorgeous Derby Hats and seersucker fashion from Brooks Brothers will be on display in the mansion's parlor, in addition to My Old Kentucky Home's own nearly two-century old set of Coin Silver Mint Julep cups made by William & Archibald Cooper. Learn the story of how “My Old Kentucky Home” became the official post parade song of the Kentucky Derby and My Old Kentucky Home's horse racing history that connects the 200 year old farm to virtually every Kentucky derby winner in history! This exhibit highlighting Kentucky’s most famous fun-filled celebration known as the “fastest two-minutes in sports” isn’t one to be missed!

See My Old Kentucky Home's "Kentucky Bowl," a trophy carefully and exquisitely handcrafted in crystal by the world-famous Steuben glass works, designed by Sidney Waugh, a member of the original Monuments Men that helped to save priceless works of art during WWII.

The exhibit is included in the regular ticket price for the regular home tour. Adult prices are $12 with discounted pricing available for seniors, children, military, & groups. My Old Kentucky Home also offers a golf course and campground. Located at 501 E. Stephen Foster Avenue, Bardstown, KY 40004.

HOT CROSS BUNS, GOLDEN RABBITS, CHOCOLATE EGGS!

My Old Kentucky Home is NOW decked out in pastel ribbons, white Victorian feather trees with dyed eggs, and a golden easter bunny is hiding in the mansion at the "Meadows in the Bloom" exhibit running all of March!

Learn about the celebration of the Easter holiday that My Old Kentucky Home's owners, the Rowans, would have celebrated over 200 years ago! Once the most celebrated holiday, even more celebrated than Christmas, Easter and its peculiar traditions (such as bunnies and eggs) were born out of German customs that spread to the United States.

With so much to see and do at America's favorite historic homestead, isn't it time you made a trip back home!?
