- I just wanted to say that I really like your "Target Your Type" camp...aign. I've only given blood once before last week (5+ years ago), but when I was in last Thursday on a whim, I started reading about the different strengths of each of the different types, and I was fascinated. Now that I know I have one of the more rare blood types, and I can clearly pinpoint how my blood may be used and how I can make my donations more effective, it has all clicked for me. From now on I will make sure I visit the bus every 8 weeks as it stops outside my office! Thanks for the info and inspiration! See More
- Question... After they changed the blood iron testing procedure, I f...ail the test more often than not. I used to pass my test when they used the finger-prick test. I just wondered if other people were experiencing any problems with the new testing procedure? I keep trying to give blood but am turned away! I am guessing I need to make my blood iron levels SO HIGH before going that there is no way I can be read incorrectly???? Anyone with suggestions? See More
- I was at 195 units in Ohio, then I moved to Florida and have given 6... units. Is there any way for you people to talk to each other and give me credit for 200 units? See More
JT Tice-Eagan5starWhen I heard about the tragedy in Orlando, I knew I had to do something right away to help. I was able to get online and... make an appointment before the website crashed. I would like to give a shout out to all the ladies at the OneBlood Orange Park location. They were excellent and went above and beyond for each and every donor even though things were hectic and extremely busy (to the point of reaching capacity). The ladies definitely made my visit (and first time giving blood) an enjoyable experience . I look forward to donating with your organizati on again in the near future. See More
Brenda M Gonzalez2starI gave two stars because of the people on the donation bus not OneBlood as a whole. Donated with my parents yesterday a...t the Apopka Lowe's store and the girl taking the information was rude and seemed miserable. I've always donated and generally the people are nice but this lady had the attitude of a DMV clerk or something. No greeting just monotone directions , didn't even know she was talking to me. Then my dad had the misfortune of her pulling the needle out. My mom and I were attended by the other lady and she was nice. I think a persons attitude is important when doing this kind of work bc people are donating their time and blood. Other people came in to donate and she quickly yelled at them that there was no room. It was kind of appalling. Well, we donated which is the important thing, just sucks to have to deal with some sour lemons. See More
