Hey, my name is Sergio I'm a West Philly resident and I'm going to tell you a little bit about what I experienced on May 30 first. Look at all the supplies. The cops are literally out here just attacking people are unarmed. Bullshit A shooting people That's unarmed shooting an unarmed people. But there's been no apologies. for what happened here in West Philadelphia and in fact it feels like. we are being blamed. We're being told that we kind of deserve this police abuse and it's okay for this kind of things happen in certain communities, but not ours and that has a lot to do with the fact that West Philadelphia is a predominantly black neighborhood. A lot to do with the trauma that has been inflicted on this neighborhood for years, you know the move bombing, which killed 11 black residents and including five children, have been about a mile from where we are right now, there is no accountability for that and so when we have police violence happen in our neighborhoods and there is no accountability. what that does is it prevents any kind of healing from happening. and it. For any kind of trust that could be had in the community, any kind of guarantee that this kind of thing will not happen again.
