You couldn't do the kind of voter purges that we saw in Georgia in 2018 without a Pre clearance and approval, but the removal of that free clear requirement by the Supreme Court in 2013, has accounted for the explosion of voter suppression that we've seen across the South and the metastasizing of what had been a regional practice in the South with a strong tradition of racial voter suppression extending back decades now has metastasized across the country and so we'll see it in places like Wisconsin and Kansas and so forth, so I was already very worried later on top of that the Cove. Pandemic and the efforts that many of us have been making to extend absentee ballots offerings and to remove owner restrictions on absentee voting so that voters will not have to choose between their life and health and voting and seeing you know tweets from the President basically scare mongering suggesting that absentee ballots will be created by countries. This is absurd absentee ballot ballot has been with us forever. it's how most of the military votes. It's how the President most often vote and to see the President and not only the President. but the attorney general begin to describe. Absentee voting as though it is some kind of nefarious new innovation designed to steal elections. It's incredibly harmful. So yes, I'm very very worried.
