With respect, honor and gratitude, thank you Veterans. I took this video at the Veterans Memorial on the Park Strip this summer. It is a beautiful reminder of the service and sacrifices our veterans have made for our country.
Second day of work. We can do this!
Congratulations to our Congressional Delegation for their long, hard fight to open ANWR for exploration. My dad Ed Rasmuson recently told me this story about how the land for ANWR was chosen. I think you’ll find his story interesting, too. #ANWR

With my husband Rudi at home in Anchorage, I had to find another Valentine. Senator Peter Micciche’s beautiful daughter and I had matching heart shirts, so she’ll do wonderfully!

Tell Senators what you think about issues facing Alaska.

The Governor’s FY19 budget proposal increases agency expenses by approximately $280 million. Even with a structured draw from the Permanent Fund in place, the state will still have a budget deficit of over $850 million. In his State of the State address, the Governor said budget cuts are off the table, but 62% of my constituents have asked me to make responsible reductions before discussing new revenues. As a conservative Republican, it is my core principle to put downward pressure on the budget, especially when there is a deficit. Saying cuts are off the table is irresponsible and unacceptable to me and my constituents. #akleg

Director of OMB Pat Pitney presented the Governor's FY19 budget proposal to Senate Finance this week. I am very concerned that the Governor's budget increased from FY18 while we still have an enormous budget deficit. #akleg

Some senators on the Senate Finance Committee had objections to Gov. Bill Walker's proposed budget.
