Last week, the Senate voted on and passed the operating budget. One amendment, put forth by minority member Senator Bill Wielechowski, proposed a transfer from the Permanent Fund Earnings Reserve to the Corpus for inflation proofing. I voted yes on this amendment. Click below to find out why.

With the addition of education funding, the FY 2019 operating budget spends approximately $4.5 billion in UGF, which is a $1 billion reduction from FY 2015.

JUNEAU – The Alaska Senate today passed the state operating budget for Fiscal Year 2019, totaling $3.2 billion in unrestricted general funds (UGF) for agency and statewide operations.
