Thanks to my graduate school UNT Dallas I was afforded the opportunity to experience the conference and expo for the first time.

I was very impressed with the vendors and employers that were looking... to provide opportunities to qualified candidate.

Even my on company was there recruiting.

My concern is the Non-Black conferences only extend an invitation to the TOP 10 schools which eliminates many of our colleges and universities from attending.

It was clear some of the schools including my home state Uni Texas had at least 50 non black students there pursuing opportunities that could have potentially gone to qualified black applicants. Equally concerning is the sure number of non-black job seekers at this "Black Event".

Do not get me wrong I think is a very well organized event with great speakers and sponsors. I am not a separatist by any stretch of the imagination. However, If you going to call it a black event why can't cater to black candidates and opportunities for black.

It was clear our people were losing jobs to people that are likely to land opportunities without attend this conference.

I question the future of this event as "BLACK" focused or has it sold out to sponsorship constraints?

I welcome all comments and opinions with regards to the future...

By the way I am 51 graduating in December with an MBA in Strategic Mgmt.
