New Columbia God's Missionary Church added 5 new photos to the album: Thank you Steve and Sarah! — with Steve N Sarah Miller.
June 25 at 6:04pm

On June 1, 2009, Rev. Steve Miller accepted the offer from the board of New Columbia God 's Missionary Church to become our assistant pastor. He faithfully served in that capacity until December 25, 2016 when he was asked to serve as senior pastor upon the resignation of Rev. Ellison. Although the board would have liked Rev. Miller to accept our offer to stay on as pastor, we support him in following God's will for his life. He has been a very stabilizing force in our churc...h during our pastoral transition.

For the last 8 years, Rev. Miller's dedication to tending the flock has been a great blessing to the New Columbia Church as he has loved and earnestly prayed for each of us. With his listening and caring heart, he has served by teaching Sunday school class, providing counseling, mentoring new Christians, leading Celebrate Recovery classes, visiting the sick, giving many hours of skilled labor at the church and the AC3 building, and many other things. He has been God's hand extended to our congregation and a great asset to our church.

Sarah Miller has sweetly worked behind the scenes to support and enhance the pastoral leadership of her husband. She has planned and prepared meals for church functions, decorated, organized, worked in the sound booth, etc. With a servant's heart, she has humbly given her time and talents to further God's Kingdom. Sarah will be remembered for her quiet, unassuming ways and her gracious, caring spirit.

While we will all miss the Millers greatly, we do wish them God's richest blessings as they seek to follow His will in their new pastorate.
