Michael How did you find out that she was cheating good question so that night we were sleeping in separate rooms body stage in their relationship was already feeling talk so that would that wasn't shown it looked like you were kind of a bit loved up and then suddenly this happens so what happened in between. then there's what we call reality TV and we called Real Life and and there's a few holes parking even tonight. so I'll see my room. In passion, Amanda's room, Alright, yeah, that was on the other side of the elevators to wear highly Chris and Vanessa Room was right and that's relevant so that night about one AM in the morning, I heard this absolute howling out at the front right now is in laughing or crying how howling is in crying. I don't know now. I haven't shown this. in fact, this is this is something that's interesting tonight. it was Vanessa. And so Vanessa was just absolutely hysterical. She's so historical to this day. She can't remember me saying me right. Wow I I ran out of the room because I thought someone was was getting murdered right. That's how it is. so anyway, I ran out of room with nothing but my phone in my hand. I locked myself out of the room and Josh at the same time came out of the room and I got locked out of my room and Josh was there and in that process, Josh. Comforting Vanessa and that's when we found out that the highly and Marco basically been having dry six on Vanessa and Chris and Chris is bed and the reason why God God and so is that happening on the so what we just saw is you recording footage of yourself on your iPhone, saying they're down in Darling Harbor. right now. they're magic. That's my production fund. Yeah. So right so that was after I've I've found out. I hate this stuff so that was. Shine a very short, so when you when you go and you see the howling and Vanessa and saying that dry humping on her bed, your wife and Michael who's married to Stacey on the show. is that captured by cameras at all, there is a a home video of Vanessa and that whole scenario of the lead up to them making out on the bed. So there is there is a video that I'm I'm sure that I'll probably show tomorrow night or the commitment ceremony at the reunion reunion at at some some stage, stage, she she knows knows I'm I'm actually actually just just. battle. By the edit that I'm receiving already let alone so what that tells you about your, I don't like what did we not invite me to look like an absolute soak mate? They've absolutely made me look like I'm a sensitive soul and my parents are so you know so conservative and this and that and it's can be further from the truth like I'm telling you well. they show that your parents are very religious, it says on the show. It's not even real made you know so that's not even real. so what you're watching in as a viewer at home, you hear something and you say another thing. but if you actually watch it back, you'll see that they've cut and pasted two sentences together. So your parents weren't as horrified by the wedding as we thought they were is that what you're saying they showed. Footage of my parents being bored of us walking down the aisle about the sixth or seventh times right and so and so look conservative or not. I don't need to ask how did your parents react when you start describing your sex life because while it seems that you're in your relationship with Hailey is ended in a rather tumultuous way, only a few days prior the way it's edited. I mean, Yeah, you can you can you can go down that path? but I mean, okay. So what else did? I ask you what else do they ask? But though they ask you every intimate detail that your friends your family, what your parents are like they, they know you're dating history why previous relationships haven't worked? Do you think that they actually the experts match people up because I genuinely think that they're compatible. do you think that they match people up because they think it makes good TV guys. So there's there's what that was what they call an AP producer they were someone that would police that so they would walk the whole ways and make sure we come into. it sounds like you're in jail. It was it was prison. not that I know what that's like and so so you find out so Josh tells you what's going on. Do you bust into the room? Listen just go back to bed and we'll deal with this tomorrow by the stages like one or two AM in the morning so right and obviously I've dealt with highly weeks and weeks and weeks, and they started actually showing some of the like last night was about the Sarah that I've got cops in the hole until I think was showing her talking over me. I've caught that by this stage, I've been on the experiment for seven right leaves. You guys really seemed true. so there's actually two weeks between commitment ceremonies right so I went back in my room. I was just furious. Four days later, they don't show that right right and and for and for the most part those couple of days actually back to Melbourne because I had a prior commitment for some of those days and then the third commitment ceremony, which will say on Sunday night, Tyler so and and I didn't care about you know, obviously, I'm breaking some massive rules live and talking to you guys right now, but they didn't do the right thing by me sure inside so David we've seen a lot of other contestant. Be wheeled out and by the network you know under the agreement and they and they put them on breakfast shows and they're able to talk have you asked to be put out to be able to you know, tell your story. No. I don't. I don't want me to tell the truth right they cuz that that like I'm telling you the honest reality of the nightmare that was in there my psychologist in my whole entire life. Yeah, I go on this reality TV show and I'm having psychology appointments twice a week after what does that tell you can I just ask? David Can I just estimates do what did you expect from going on what I didn't watch this side before I went on it right, It was a practical Jack to apply. I didn't even fill out a full I didn't feel out of full application and I just thought you know, I'll go on there after four or five months a day invasive you know, surveys and everything else. I thought you know what I really could use myself a life partner and I thought I was really easy to match. I was just like you know what just give me a five. I was imagining just having a great time steering up other couples because I thought it was a pretty easy going black right and then I only had three deal Breakers and let's say let's talk about the smoking thing that makes me look like a sock because she's smoking right. But I'm an asthmatic a severe asthmatic. and if I'm around a smoker, I have severe asthma attacks that could have take my life right. Yeah, they were willing to. My health to to for writings, Yeah. so when you say that when they're saying, the experts are matching you up because they genuinely giving you a chance at happiness, you feel that they're setting you up for failure. Well, let let's talk about. I think highly is an absolute superstar for this show. You know I see controversial. she's loud. She's in your face is all those things right now, so they would have come across highly and I think they've gone. let's try to match highly with someone she's she's asked for a country boy. I didn't seem to you know simple. You You know know I I wanna wanna go go a a lot. lot. my my dad, dad, you you know, know, big big rugged rugged guy guy whatever. whatever. And so that I think they tried to genuinely match highly. I try to keep a happy keep on the show cuz she is she, she's exactly a writing scrub. and that's also why she's getting all the introduce. she broke all the rules. Yeah. she was speaking. She was speaking to the paparazzi while we're on their honeymoon right. Yeah. So so David what we've seen at the end of tonight's episode is a preview for tomorrow night's dinner party now usually with the dinner parties that looks like it's just a day or two, you know on from the night before is that the case with this one I've got a night here saying that you said it wasn't not so. Before we get to that, I'm so sorry so what they've signed tonight is Chris and Vanessa Chris and Vanessa parting ways. That was the night that that was three days after that after the cheating scandal cheating scandal so because highly cheated, Vanessa was so outraged that the Christian do anything to stop it right that destroyed their relationship and there's some stuff that I can't even mention to you guys. so Chris Vanessa and I went out on the town. Vanessa was so outraged some things that took place. Okay and and Vanessa was absolutely so why she was crying I can't mention it like it's it's so that's Vanessa story to tell I can't have. I have a chat to it, so they actually part ways three days later, but because because three couples were leaving the experiment in one here, they put production on hold for two weeks right so what happened in those two weeks. And when you say you put production on hold on move out and go about their daily daily lives, lives, so so we we use use stuck stuck in in the the in in the the apartment apartment so. so they put me in a set. Apartment and they allowed us to socialize marginally without the couples and I was really lucky that I had Stephen Michelle Josh and Connie with me that just absolute superstars but not with the outside world, not with the outside world, No they they got around and support me cuz I could say that I've been put through how for seven weeks and I had this this kick in the gut to the end if she wanted to, she was desperate to stay on this. Stacey was no highly would say sorry and at that time when you were there for two weeks did you say the producers I want out? I wanna leave. Yeah, I beg to go home and what they wouldn't let me say. yeah, what was their reaction when you said they wouldn't let you what that actually mean well they they so I made a deal that I would stay right that no matter what highly wrote, I would I would again. Home right right, So what you'll see me say well, what I think that will show who knows what they'll say to be honest with you because I mean Sunday, they'll probably hear this interview and then go back into the edit and give me an absolute Slammer but what they they made me sort of like save me lines of you know this relationship is toxic for me. It's toxic highly, but it's also toxic for the other couples. The truth of it was I was at the verge of a mental breakdown of being spoken to and trade like a piece of shit for seven weeks. weeks. So So I I made made a. a deal with. with the executive producer that no matter what she writes, I get to go home and that was on the terms that I agreed to stay and they agree to that. and that's during the two week shutdown that happened the day after the affair came out is that right that that's absolutely correct and and the truth might easy As you know at 120 - five bucks an hour. I didn't have the money to buy find tickets to go. I'm sure and so that was the truth so David what we see in the preview for tomorrow night is a dinner party. What you're saying is it you think it will be made to look like After tonight, but it was actually two weeks after the shutdowns put in place, everyone comes back after being away. they act like it's normal. The tension flares up again. you throw the accusations around the table. What we see is Hailey doesn't deny it. It looks like Michael denies it and she's trying to say no we were macking on how far it will actually you probably you're not too far off the Mark. What happened? Alright and you can see the effects of the night before still still very much present and and he he he was almost he didn't even give me anything you guys. I told him straight said. He's on the floor yet I was going down the Street to buy local, but anyway did said that was it was the bathroom was just again in every single time right and so that's when I I grabbed the tooth fashion. I did something I shouldn't be, which was scrubbed the toilet with a splash and left it there and now look I need to look up to use that for five days and then and then then then then then then then then one one one of of of their their their friends. friends. friends. Yeah. it's the hardest thing is no one can really comprehend that the stress that you're in there. I have a question was there a camera person in the bathroom with you when you clean the toilet now it's actually shot. I can't find that what's interesting legal issues around that because they don't actually own the footage that's that's actually so they're actually talking about contracts and stuff they're actually breaching contract by using personal pledge of my sight and I sent that to one of the producers confidentially why why does it stand out because it was they what they do is they have a producer that wins the trust right and then they have other producers to ask him questions nice and say they manipulate the whole time so David now having having been been through through this this experience experience like like what what would would you you say say to to people people who? who are? Considering the never do it well, David, you called it a nightmare. I mean what are the kind of nightmare circumstances you had to live through like you? You've got no way to escape. You're you're locked intense. You loved intense with plastic chairs and two bottles of water for hours on end. It's a psychological torture. really, there's a lot of mental welfare that goes on. There's this producers that approach you and say well, obviously, things aren't going well with you and highly do you want Stacy's number If you want this person that number and and did you ever say? yeah, give me swing me a number I haven't shaded in my whole entire. Last night, it wasn't about to do it on National television. Okay. So look I I've got a cheating question. I'm gonna ask you that just in a few moments, but just staying on the you describe the situation as torture, I wanna know what are those are those messy days like my messy days. I mean those commitment ceremonies and the drunk and dinner parties. It looks like you guys are given a lot of alcohol. I know from previous contestants, they tell me that it goes to the early hours of the morning and you're there for like just a 12 hour 13 hour days. What are those days like? Can you describe? For us, yes, so the dinner party got too bad apart from around and get in there, but the liquor up the girls are stuck. Yes, so the girls there's lots of wine on the table and that that's really good and some days you get a decent hardy meal. you know lots of protein than other days. It's a vegan shit that's on there and and and you look at it and go this cowboy food and then so those days are the days that it was always drama building. you know, I say you wouldn't leave much and they fill you up without the boys. They given enough beers to get drunk on those nights so all those dinner parties always having you know wake up in the morning to vomit in the sink right there was it was really really really toxic environment right that the dinner the commitment ceremonies would be there like three PM in the afternoon. So you know you start filming by maybe 56 you ain't got home to three four AM in the morning and you think that couples struggle big night the night before then you've had the the commitment commitment ceremony ceremony back back to to back back was was that that do do you you think think that that? other? People on the show struggled like you did did you see other people really struggling and me? yeah worse than me definitely what was some of the reactions that you see? Yeah in what ways did they struggle? How how are they handling it? I don't wanna name names because some of the most people but buy a couple What really genuine lovely people they they just been mismatched, you know and and taking advantage of Vanessa is definitely one person that struggled you know know there's there's a a lot lot that that went went on on on behind behind behind the the the the scenes scenes scenes scenes scenes that. that that that that sure sure sure she she she she was. wasn't wasn't wasn't my. ironically, ironically, she She wasn't. wasn't my biggest. For some of it, and then she started saying, come out you know the pressure cooker environment that easy is unlike anything I've ever experienced in my life and keep in mind. I've been a professional combat sportsman for 11 years, so you can use it's the one sport that you can heckle and send absolute field to your your other your opponent and still be part of the sport. You know I have never in my life. I was so badly bullied in high school primary school. I've never in my life experienced sucks. Toxicity in in all my world, something they say, will you all these people at home? say you signed up for this prep day? right? Yeah. I think I think that's a question that some people are asking and I and I hate to you know I had to put you on the spot with this question, but I know I know you can handle at night is that a lot of people will probably think you know the owners is on you and when you say that you signed up for a practical joke and that you were just sort of taking a piece out of it and you thought you would be the guy who'd stir the pot and actually you didn't stop. You got your hand burned do you think a lot of people are thinking well, if you're going with those intentions, you get you get what you give you maybe I think believe it or not they're actually toning down what actually happened in real life right? so what you're saying is like a family-friendly version at the right time spot right right. So what you know? there's you know, there's been reports of a. Sorts of things happening that you know we can't talk about right now right, but that is only the beginning of it like we we you're seeing a toned down version of the reality and what you guys are saying is crazy right absolutely craziness. So don't let me assure you. It's way crazy. What's gonna happen tomorrow night is in real life was just a planet. We'll go ahead and describe for us. What are we gonna see you're not gonna say the executive producers stop and multiple times to give us a story line directions. You know that they stop. Auction multiple times for the first time, apparently in in many many seasons and tell you what to say is that what you're saying they tell you what to say, a direct the conversation, because Michael gets off pretty lightly right. Alright and I highly get smashed right and you know what she took it like a champ. You know, I've never seen a room full of people just having one person and she you know. She's a tough chick. You know. I'll say that about it, you know, I've never seen someone take such a slamming by so many people and just stand there and copy it like a champ So, you know there's a bit of respect between highly annoying in terms while decided to respect from myself to highly because she is a tough cookie, you know, and that comes from that part and you know and David like the show talks a lot about about how it takes its responsibilities to the or to the participants seriously, and there's a lot of psychological support. What would you say about that? if they do the bare minimum, you get fine calls from from producers producers producers and and and psychologist psychologist psychologist to to to check check check in in in on on on you you. you for for sure sure and and. some of the producers. Lovely human beings I really are right, but the people at the top I wanna I wouldn't. I wouldn't say the same they they they do the bare minimum to cover their ass on a on a chicken cross paper sheet. You know that yet now we gave so if I gotta knock myself off tomorrow, they can go while we gave him psychologically port support. Yup we in our contract. We told him that we we did cycle logical testing on that. they they go through that, that, but but they they said said chicken Chicken chicken cross cross cross. cross scenario. scenario scenario scenario is is is I I I actually actually. actually gave gave a a. stuff about us. They they. wouldn't stitches. The latest on for four or five months before the show saying that David never stitch you up and you can be the judge of whether you think I was David that you also said you're having you're seeing a psychologist twice a week now since the show is that right, yeah, that's correct. What are you working on? is that you've accomplished in my combat sports career? If I was a little sock, I did it right that that's the story. so it's hard to then going me genuinely time. I got there. Remember I was genuinely hoping for love right now. It's now damaged my ability to go and have a normal normal normal conversation. conversation, conversation. Christian Vanessa right rice So in one in that one instance, three couples are destroyed now by that stage, Mikey and Natalie. So, yeah, Mikey and Natasha and there the belly. You know just with nothing left to do locking people in and and encouraging people to you know cheat on each other and then filming the whole thing and wanting to get drunk. So what did we think about when he said, you know, I just kinda signed up for a joke, a practical joke and I was gonna take the piss out of it and I was gonna stir the pot isn't it isn't it you know unfortunately weird how the situation flipped on. You know when he was the one who the pockets I think that everybody who signs up for reality shows thinks they can game the system. I don't think anybody goes in and and cuz everyone thinks they're the exception that everyone thinks they're the exception either. They're clever enough to do it or they're sweet enough to do it or they blend and when he said to him, I want to be an Instagram. We're gonna we're gonna be Instagram and some people are really good at it and some people manage to work the system you know, uncertain reality TV shows I think on a show like married at first sight, It sounds like it is almost impossible. It is so tightly controlled they are so restricted, they're pumped full of alcohol. They're pumped full of I guess temptation and and go crazy and three in the morning, I would go crazy. just to get to bed. I'd be like I'll give you whatever you want. Let me see what happens after I would say 11 PM. I start to go Darling Harbor as well. I think I still think voluntarily chooses to go to Darling hub and I'm sorry did you see those apartments tonight? Are they tiny Minister I've had. Hotel rooms on that, Yeah. Really, I think my you know I live in quite a small place in my kitchen is bigger than that double room combined and trying to pull the screen to make it look like it's in the bedroom opens up into the lounge where the girls for their makeup like the cooking smells. I just keep imagining going to bed with the cooking smell from the curry from the dinner was he buying a slow cooker for her amazing? Yeah. But all I could think about was that confined space and that toilet situation sounds like a bloody nightmare. I mean you do not poop in front of your new husband. No, no no.
