Yesterday the Gàidhlig Dumgal Burns Supper was a treat. Speakers, pipers, accordionist, pianist, organisers and cooks and all did so well. One 10 year old managed to do singing, dancing and fiddle! I was very proud of Na Siennaidairean, (regional Gaelic singers). A big heugh tae us all.

Na Seinneadairean, that's the Gaelic Singers, will be meeting tomorrow morning, 11 till 1 in Kirkpatrick Durham Village Hall, ( use the side door for Lesser Hall). We had a right giggle last week. Thought I'd share this for Burns Birthday. I've been working on Bess and her Spinning Wheel, will get it recorded very soon for those who asked.

From Liam Chalmers. :Over the Xmas period I've been more and more upset by the news of the developing crisis in the Yemen. I've decided that I cannot simply sit about and watch those kids starve and die through no fault of their own.

I've decided to do some busking in the Dumfries High St on Saturday 30th December - from 11.00am to 2.00pm. See the attached posters. It would be great if anyone else would be prepared to join in. We could look on it as a sort of "Folk Aid". The more the merrier! If you don't think you can busk you can always 'join in'. Let's make it a big "Singalong for the Yemen".
