Some very interesting sections in this. 1. How when you visualise it activates the visual cortex in the same way as when you actually look at something (as oppo...sed to cognitive areas which are activated when you imagine), making visualising a successful outcome in trance different than just imagining it. 2. The three 'doctors' don't seem to have much finesse, the IBS specialist talks about 'droning on for a bit', Irving Kirsch tells his subject 'don't add the colour yet' (elementary schoolboy error o the pink elephant variety), and the ex magician sits about 8 feet away from his subject and asks her to forget about some cards after she has disclosed her resistance and fear to being controlled (no pre talk), makes you wonder if they spent 450 hours studying What it does show is the power of a white coat and authority.
