May 7th is the first anniversary of the Cologne ruling where a court in Cologne ruled that non-therapeutic male circumcision was illegal. This ruling was subsequently overturned by the German government last November.

On May 7th there will be a demonstration in Cologne starting at 11am.

A demonstration will also take place in London organised by Men Do Complain who will be standing outside the German Embassy in Belgrave Square, London on May the 7th. Anyone is welcome to attend and I understand that there will be t-shirts and placards. If you feel you can attend please make contact with MDC through their website http://www.mendocomplain.com/

I encourage you all to mark Genital Autonomy Day by taking positive action to publicise the day and write letters to people in authority.

In court 4 at Manchester Crown Court, case number T20127323 continues. A midwife, Grace Adeleye, has been charged with the manslaughter of Goodluck Caubergs, a four week old baby boy who died the day after she circumcised him.
