I’ve spent my working life defending Maine’s natural resources and environment, from leading negotiations to protect our air and water to advocating for clean, renewable energy sources to restoration of our fisheries.

So, when I say that Betsy Sweet has my unequivocal support for governor of Maine, it’s not something I do lightly.

Betsy shares Mainers’ values and priorities: health care, the economy, education, and civil rights. And Betsy understands that protecting Mainers and protecting our environment is a ‘”both-and” proposition, not an “either-or.”

I’ve known and worked with Betsy for many years. She brings energy, courage, experience, and great ideas to the table. In short, she is a fierce advocate for the people of Maine. With so much at stake over the next four years, there’s no one I’d rather have fighting for Maine’s air, water, and natural beauty.
