BREAKING: The NYC Council just passed resolutions calling to expunge the records of all city misdemeanor marijuana convictions, and calling on the New York State Legislature to pass legislation that would legalize, regulate, and tax the sale of marijuana in New York State.
Today the New York City Council (led by members of the Progressive Caucus of the New York City Council) is looking at how we make sure that marijuana legalizat…ion in NYS includes real attention to equity, justice & restitution to communities that have been harmed by decades of discriminatory over-enforcement.
