OBAT's Journey to Change
We have arrived! The team has hit the ground and are busy in Dhaka. Good luck all!
Today is the World Day Against Child Labor. While many children are fortunate enough to go to schools, there are children working for their survival. This is a video of two children rolling incense sticks in a Syedpur camp. For every 5,000 incenses they roll, they get $1. We want to help these children, and we need your help. Learn how to help these children at #OBATHelpers #WorldDayAgainstChildLabour

OBAT Helpers is doing absolutely incredible work for a forgotten community of "stateless" people who have been innocent victims of a vast political upheaval. I have seen them on the ground and am in t...otal awe of the commitment OBAT leaders have to serving this unfortunate community and through running schools, health care programs, micro-lending, etc. to lift them out of poverty. I encourage EVERYONE to help them by donating to them. Please also visit their website. See More

OBAT helpers is doing amazing work.
In the time when Muslims and rest of the world are more concern about current issues and recent disasters, OBAT decided to pay attention to forgotten people. People... who are still paying the price of love and affiliation with Pakistan even at third generation. Stranded Pakistanis in Bangladesh originally the Muslims came from Indian province of Bihar to east Pakistan , now fighting for their survival , basic need, education and identity. Only OBAT is there to help them. See More

Today we had a patient who came in very upset because he hasn’t been able to read the Quran in over 1 year due to poor eyesight. I grabbed adjustable eye glasse...s from our pharmacy and wrote the Arabic alphabet along with other phrases on a sheet of paper. I started adjusting the lens and asked him to tell me once he’s able to see the letters. As I was adjusting his lens, I noticed tears pouring down his face. I asked him if he was okay, he said “Bismillah arahman araheem!” -Alhamdulilah.
