    As some of you may know Ville has introduced his interest to dubstep to the rest of the band and we have all been swept away by the booming low electric frequencies. So hereby we are proudly letting you know that our next album will be heavily dubstep influenced and we will cut down the use of traditional instruments!

    Tämän vuoden viimeinen keikka Tampereella viikon kuluttua erinomaisessa seurassa. Näillä näkymin viimeinen veto pitkähköön toviin, sillä sävellyskattila porisee lupaavasti, mutta haudutellen. // Last show for good while coming up as we're in deep waters with new compositions, stirring up some enchanting currents. A fair share of finger-acrobatics and rhytmic awareness to be rehearsed. Haha!

    Toverimme etsivät uutta laulajaa, siinä jollekin äänihuuliveikolle oiva tilaisuus. / Our friends Nauticus are looking for a new singer.
    Kokeellisuuden, psykedelian, progressiivisuuden, rockin sekä metallin rajapinnoilla omaehtoisesti operoiva Nauticus hakee uutta laulajaa riveihinsä. Turussa majaansa pitävän yhtyeen tähänastiselle uralle mahtuu kaksi mediassa mukavan vastaanoton saanutta täyspitkää albumia A Wave to Carry Us Out (2009) ja The Wait (2012). Kolmannen albumin materiaali on kasassa ja aikatauluteknisten sekä näkemykse...llisten eroavaisuuksien johdosta vanha laulaja vetäytyi yhteisymmärryksessä nyt ennen levyntekoprosessia, jotta uudelle laulajalle on mahdollistettu mukaantulo sanoittavana sekä laulumelodiansa itse kehittävänä täysipainoisena jäsenenä heti ensihetkistä alkaen.

    Tarkkaa raamitusta tai sapluunaa uudelle laulajalle/laulajattaralle ei ole, mutta peräänkuulutamme omistautuneisuutta, omalaatuisuutta, sanoitustaitoa ja kansainvälisen tason englannin kielen hallintaa. Musiikin soitto-, laulu- tai kuunteluhistoriallasi ei ole merkitystä. Toivomme sinulta kuitenkin ymmärrystä jokaisen instrumentin täydelliseen tasavertaisuuteen yhtyeessä, joka koskee monista orkestereista poiketen myös laulua. Esilläolon kappalemateriaali mahdollistaa varmasti, mutta taustabändiä itselleen havittelevat jättäkööt hakemisen jo lähtökohtaisesti väliin. Ikähaarukkaa laulajalle ei ole, mutta jatkuvuuden sekä pysyvyyden toimiessa avainsanoina toivomme, että pahimmista nuoruuden kuohuista on päästy yli ja toisessa ääripäässä elämää olisi näillä elinajan ennusteilla enemmän edessä kuin takana.

    Operating on the boundaries of experimental-, psychedelic-, progressive-, rock- and metal genres, the band Nauticus is searching for a new singer. We have released two unique and well received albums: A Wave To Carry Us Out (2009) and The Wait (2012). The material for the third album is finished, but due to scheduling difficulties and musical differences our previous singer chose to step aside now to give a new singer a chance to affect the new material via lyrics and vocal melodies.

    We are looking for a person who can devote his/her time and passion to the band. Also originality, skills in writing lyrics and proper English pronunciation are considered important qualities. Your history of playing, singing or listening to music is not relevant. We do however ask you to understand that this is a band in which every instrument is equal and unlike in some other bands, this equality includes singing/vocals. If you're just looking for a band to play in the background for you - while you stand in the spotlight - please refrain from contacting us. We don't have an exact age limit, but it would be best if you'd matured over your teenage years and the attitude that comes with it, or in the other end, you are not dangerously close to the average life expectancy of your gender.

    While we are recovering from the awesome time we had on stage on Friday with Leprous and Vulture Industries (many thanks to the bands and everyone who showed up to see us perform!), we have some great news to announce: ODDLAND has been chosen to replace BOIL at this year's PPEurope Festival in Baarlo, Netherlands! A big bow to all the ticket holder's who voted for us.

    We will be playing a special show Fri 15.11 in Tampere/Yo-talo with our buddies Amendfoil and For The Imperium. This is Amendfoil's debut album release show, so it should be loads of fun! Who knows, maybe we will hear some new material from Oddland as well

    It's an absolute delight to find our album being reviewed after over a year since it's release with such high praise as well. Right now we're neck deep in the new compositions - exploring where the songs will take us. So far the new terrain is enchanting.
