After months of endless whinging by the wee gobshite of a dog, Stuart, my lovely wife and I agreed to let him have his own Instagram account. Admittedly he's had a few issues with that whole lack-of-thumbs thing, but all in all he seems to somehow be making it work. And to think that this wee gobshite was a rescue dog! Who knows what gems (and germs) you can find at your local dog shelter, so head out today and give a lonely canine some comfort.
You can follow Stu here: instagram.com/rockstarstu
Buenos Aires. You rock! A proper rock audience-I'm adding you to my top audiences of the world. Can't wait to come back and we won't leave it for 20 years again. Even the gobshite dog, Stuart would approve.
On another note, look what Pete Townsend did to my '56 gold top Les Paul the other night
Wishing you all the best for the coming new year. Personally, I'm glad to be done with 2016. It was tough year for some of the people I love.
Stuart's a little scared of something over there in the corner. What could it be?
See you all in 2017!
Greetings of the season! Stuart says don't forget to support your local dog shelter in any way you can (adopt, foster, food, transportion - just don't let Stu drive, he's shit at that).
So very sad to hear of the passing of our old friend Bob Coburn earlier today. Bob was the voice of Rockline. He was a true champion of the genre, and an encyclopedic lover of the music. R.I.P. Bob. You will be missed by many.
Bus issues and cheese sandwiches aside, the Last In Line 2016 "Cash grab" tour has been a wonderfully rewarding experience. Only a few more shows remaining with Newcastle (tonight), then Sheffield on Friday and finally my home town, Belfast, this Saturday.
Big thanks to Inglorious and Wild Lies. Both bands sound great and their shared appreciation for cheese sandwiches has kept it all within the budget. We say goodbye to both bands after Sheffield and will welcome Toseland, who will join us in Belfast. Rumour has it that the bass player's mother is sending some real food with them. We're excited!
We played "Winter Storm Festival" in Troon, Scotland yesterday. The sunset view from the back lounge of the tour bus. Lovely spot.
After our set I played "Jailbreak" with Rick Warwick and his band. Was lovely to jam with him again. Thanks Richard!
Tonight is our first U.K. show with Inglorious. Kicking off in London at the O2 Academy.
Thanks for the little Les Paul and the Santa Stuart! Oh, and Stuart says thanks for the Jameson, too. He's such a lush.
Last In Line's European 'Cheese sandwich' tour continues this week. Only 3 European shows left, Warsaw, Berlin, and Cologne, then it's on to the U.K.
The shows have been magnificent (as have the abundant cheese sandwiches). We're having great fun playing and we're hungry for more. We're hungry for some real food, too, but that's besides the point - for now it's cheese sandwiches - and lot's of them!
Greetings from (try being a vegetarian here) Poland.
The European shows have been absolutely joyous. It's great to play in these intimate venues and the crowds have been very enthusiastic and warm.
The band's on fire! Check us out if you can. You won't be disappointed.
At City of Hope today for scans and a top-up of the mighty Pembrolizumab. Tomorrow I fly to the U.K. to start the Last In Line tour and, other than my getting sick in Reno, I'm happy to report that the 6 west coast shows that we just played were an absolute blast - the band is very ready and sounding super-tight!
72987537 is packed up and ready to fly. Stuart is not; he's run off to join a cult...
And for all of you who can, don't forget to vote!
Lyric video for the LIL song "Already Dead". Enjoy:
We (Last In Line) had a live stream from rehearsal yesterday. Sorry I didn't post about it in advance, but I didn't know until I got there, and if I had known I would have washed my hair - thanks for that guys...
