Two ball drill highlighting recover position. (Orange cone indicates recovery spot) Coach Sarah demonstrated this drill for one of her players because she wasn'...t getting back far enough. First ball- Player hits a heavy down the line forehand and recovers to an aggressive position to take advantage of the weak crosscourt return from the opponent. By recovering close to the baseline the player can take advantage of the short ball quickly and take time away from the other player. With the offensive recovery position, it gives them the chance to hit a mid-court forehand off opponents middle ball rather than a backhand from behind the baseline.
