The food exceeded my expectatio
ns (the cheese grits were out of this world and paired perfectly with the fried shrimp and new potatoes) and the music was "on point!" I love the fun, laid back atmosphe...re, and so did my 4 and 1 year old! We were visiting a family member who lives in the area and just had to come back for a second meal here after enjoying our first trip to The Point so much. The musicians were so engaging and made my son feel like a million bucks. I will definitely be recommendi ng this restaurant !
We went in last night and I had shrimp and scallops and my hubs had the trigger fish with a lemon thyme sauce. My husband raved and raved about how good it was and it being his favorite seafood meal ...he has ever had in this area! My husband's family owns Scoma's Fine Fining Italian Restaurant
on The Pier in San Francisco and Sausalito so he knows great food. Buzz the Chef is INCREDIBLY gifted with food, and Jessica our sweet waitress took great care of us. We will def be back!!
The tin can nachos are wonderful when chef buzz is preparing them!! Just ask if they are on the menu! Bourban street ribeye, melts in your mouth! Crab cakes, perfect! Miss Winnies cakes! Scrumtous!
G...ood good food!

The Point is our regular go-to restaurant
. We've eaten about everything on the menu and have never been disappoint ed. The service is great from Ms Winnie's oversight (and cakes!) to the friendly serve...rs. The entertainm ent is great - we always go on Thursdays to hear the Ole River String Band.
Best gumbo I've had! I'm not a gumbo expect but of what I've had, that was the best. I had the shrimp special that night and it was delish! Everyone with me enjoyed their food but did notice they offe...red deep fried scallops and not pan fried. Drinks were good too! Looks like a dive so we really didn't know what to expect but we were pleased!!
I want people to know that my wife , Karen, and I, are there most every Tuesday, playing for dinner. The
y call us the MACS. We are veteran performers , and you'll find a high caliber of entertainm ent f...rom Tuesday, thru Sunday at the Point. This is not a beginners room. I read a past review about slow service. Sorry that happened at some time, but I'm facing the folks enjoying their meals, while we play, and it sure looks like good service to me, these days. I can certainly testify that the staff there is a friendly, fun loving group, and I've never witnessed anything that resembled "attitude" to a customer. I'm no qualified food critic, so I go by the comments in our crowd. It's pretty positive, especially for the fresh caught mullet, and the gumbo. I would have given all 5 stars, but I just didn't want to brag.

The food and service is awesome at this place. They saved the day for us and 12 other friends of ours when another restaurant
dropped the ball on a 25th Anniversar y Celebratio n. They were happy to he...lp us. Our friends frequent this place a lot due to the excellent food and caring staff. We will go back again for sure before we head home.

Great food, great service, great band. We will definitely
be back to try some chef specials.
My first time eating here and it was so good! I got the sautéed crab claws and they are now my absolute favorite place to have them! I love love love sweet potato fries and good ones are hard to find.... This place has the best! My husband got the coconut shrimp and they were delicious too! We got the fried cheesecake
for dessert and it is a must!!! This is the only place that I know of that serves it in Pensacola and it is to die for! I loved the atmosphere with a live band inside and everyone that works there was soo friendly. They treat you like family.
The Point always has great food(new items since last year), fair prices, friendly service, ice cold beer, and great live music to enjoy. What else could you ask for from a restaurant
/bar? I recommend ...that if you are a Perdido area local, make this your spot to hang out and kick back on the weekends. They've always got something cool going on for big holidays like Mardi Gras or St. Patties day. The outside area is especially a lot of fun to hang out when the band is jamming with plenty of seating for everyone. What's cool too is on bigger events when it's a bit more crowded just bring your own lawn chair and chill out. Don't drive all the way downtown, come checkout The Point!

We decided to give it a try since we heard they had new owners. I won't lie, we stopped eating at at The Point because the service had gotten bad and the food just wasn't what they had been famous for.... Well I am so glad we gave it another chance! Our food was wonderful and although we did witness one waitress who apparently
was having a bad day, our waitress, Hillary was fantastic. Very happy girl and took very good care of us! We will definitely be back and we will tell all of our friends how fantastic the food was!
