It's coming next year, and it is going to be awesome. This is the biggest thing this side of Tatooine. This flyover is in California, but it is also being duplicated in Orlando.
In what would only be considered in the past to be something from The Twilight Zone, Disney is introducing fees to park overnight at the resorts starting March 21.
The fee will be:
Value Resorts: $13 per night.
Moderate Resorts: $19 per night....
Deluxe Resorts: $24 per night.
As far we are concerned Disney Management should be ashamed of themselves for this kind of move. Their resort rates are already sky high, and this charge on top is just simply gouging.
Please don't Pet The Animals.
One of the most Uniquely Floridian attractions in Orlando is Gatorland. They call it the Alligator Capital of the World. It is certainly unique and one of the oldest attractions in the area, and one of the least expensive as well.
You can get up close and personal (but not too personal) with a range of critters including the native Florida Alligator. Check out their website to see if you might find this an interesting visit next time you are vacationing in Orlando: https://www.gatorland.com/
Florida is sinkhole alley. Maybe one of the theme parks should develop an attraction based on the whole ride being swallowed in a sinkhole to the center of the earth.
Attn: Florida Legislature, when you are done with Daylight savings give this a try.
What will be replacing La Nouba, Cirque du Soleil's long running show at Disney Springs? Cirque is developing a new show that pays homage to the heritage of Disney Animation. Sounds just right for that fantastic venue.
Florida voted today to go on Daylight Savings Time and stay there. Keep this in mind when travelling to Orlando as the time might not be what you expected.
The bill was approved overwhelming in the house and senate and now goes to the governor's desk to be signed. It will take an act of Congress to be enabled, but seeing as Arizona and Hawaii already were approved to be exempted from the Federal Time Control Act it would seem unlikely to be denied but time will tell.
Please like Orlando Fun, thank you.
Did you know it's Mickey's 90 Birthday this year, on November the 18th.
