I had Dr. Haynes fo both my CTR's back in 2014/15 and he was awesome! Now I am recovering from shoulder surgery that Dr. Coleman did. He is awesome too. My only complaint is that I didn't check with m...y dad, back in TX, about the recovery time. I'm gonna be in pain for a while. I am just glad I had it done in the winter and NOT summer. It's easier to be less active when it's cold out. My insurance is what sucks and doesn't pay every thing they should have. My copays are ridiculous!! The office manager, Penny, has been working with me on payments and I am grateful for her too. I have not had a bad encounter with any of the staff!! See More

I was in horrific pain after hurting myself where I needed spinal fusion surgery right away. Dr. Carlson was fantastic he was able to get me in ASAP. His nurse Kay is phenomenal I was not able to sit... or walk for longer than 20 seconds without being in excruciating pain she took time and came in the room where I could lay comfortably to do my pre op and scheduling. I would highly recommend Dr.Carlson and the team he was able to give me immediate relief giving me my quality of life back. I am grateful that I did choose him as my surgeon.
Top knotch doctor and team!!

I wish i could rate it LESS than 1 star...Horrible experience. I would never recommend Dr McFarland ever. I made this apt because i was in horrible pain could barely walk. brought in, given Xrays B...efore i saw anyone... if you giving someone xrays they should be discussed BEFORE you do it and get consent to do them and tell the patient WHY first off...then saw McFarland. not even given a exam. Felt like i wasn't listened to, just another patient, didn't care threw some pills at me - THAT BTW i could not take. How's a person who drives 45 miles one way to work suppose to take Muscle relaxers 3 times a day...Really. if you had talked to me or listened you would have heard this...but again didn't get the exam or discussion...i left feeling more defeated than when i went in...and again could barely walk at the time i was in so much pain. i left in tears. when i got the bill i exploded. How you can charge me that much money for an office visit/Exam that i DIDNT get and am Unsatisfied with. If i got crappy food at a restaurant i would pay for it. Called the office manager to discuss this and she never called me back. Again, jut confirms that i will never recommend this place, you don't put the Patient or their needs FIRST Obviously! See More

A warm and friendly staff. Was seen quickly, Dr.Raj is doggedly thorough and quick to pick up that despite my spine issues, problem came on acutely and may not be totally spine related. More studies c...oming and treatment plan. Very encouraged by this bright, yet inviting office and staff. See More

This year wasn't my first time dealing with DR Carlson. He was very carfuly picked in 2006. I have degenerative arthritis. That means I can get something fixed this year and something else can go later.
And that's what happened this year. I knew I was going back to see DR Carlson. Since 2006, his practice has really grown. What was once a well oiled machine is now truly top notch in every aspect. He has moved from Riverside to Mary IMMACULATE which is a huge improvement by itself. The staff he has assembled at OSC is so efficient it's unbelievable. You easily take a liking to every one of them. They're sensitive and you know they care. Back surgery is quite painful but this group mitigates that every way they can.
I know in a few years (maybe 10) I might have to go through this again and if I do, OSC is the only choice. Thanks so much for all you have done for me DR Carlson and all your staff at OSC.

Waited until 45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment, which was 9am, only to be told there were 3 patients ahead of me! How is that possible 1 HOUR after they open??? No one called me before I left ...the house, nor notify me upon check in...instead they let me sit in the waiting room...basically WASTING MY VALUABLE TIME. In my profession, if I jerked around my clients like this, I’d be out of business! The receptionist told me to “take it up with the doctor” if I had a problem. Sad, real sad... See More

I had two M.R.I.s last night. I have had more than my share but this time was different. When I told the young lady how painful it is for me to lay on my back she went out of her way to make me comfor...table. She tried several things like pillows and changing the neck brace. Even took me all the way out and reset the whole thing to make it more comfortable. I was the last appointment (9:30pm) and the one before was running late so I'm sure she was ready to go home but you wouldn't know by the excellent way she handled things. Can't remember her name but she deserves recognition. (Friday night 3/3) Nice job and most of all you made what is usually a very painful experience better than I would have ever imagined. See More

I love this practice. I have had knee problems and what I thought to be a hip problem for years. It finally got bad enough for me to see someone. Dr. Snyder figured out that I have a bone spur in my k...nee and by ordering an MRI he found that the pain in my hip is actually stemming from my lower back because my sciatic nerve is being pinched causing the radicular pain. I had my first transfominal epidural steroid injection by Dr. Sureja yesterday and that experience was awesome as well. He explained everything he was doing while doing so and asked if I was doing okay throughout the procedure. I never sit in the waiting room more than 15 minutes and I'm out of there in maybe an hour or so. Two of my children had a dislocated patella and I took them to Dr. Snyder as well. I'd recommend OSC to anyone and everyone. See More

Have had a sharp, aching pain in left hip and leg for a week unable to put any weight on it. Been to OSC and was seen by Dr Burrows in which I was given an injection in left hip area. I was hopeful fo...r some relief but have not had any changes. Self diagnosis says it may be the Sciatic nerve in my hip. Numerous pain meds have not given much relief either. This is not just your ordinary pain I'm feeling. A scheduled MRI this week will find the cause I'm hoping. What is the treatment for this and how long until I can start feeling normal again? See More

Jumped off a falling ladder and fractured my pelvis. For the last 10 months, I've gone to orthopedic and neurologist doctors. X-rays, CT scans, MRI and was told that they could do nothing for me, and ...that I will be on a came and limited for the rest of my life. Went to see Dr. Carlson and he saw the problem. Gave me hope and it's the best news I've had in 10 months. See More

Dr. Haynes has taken care of my various injuries over the years. I live in Virginia Beach now and during the storm yesterday I fell and shattered my kneecap. Princess Anne hospital referred me to a on the Southside. But wanting only Dr. Haynes to look at it, I called and Lisa made me feel comfortable that I could work through commuting to the office there with a combination of PT on the Southside if necessary. I look forward to Dr. Haynes plan of action for my recovery! ! From the doctors to all the staff who take care of patients like me in this amazing practice, I thank you!! See More

Thanks to David Kruger for his Patient Success Story about Spine Surgery with Dr. Jeffrey Carlson!

I was diagnosed with needing an anterior cervical fusion-level 1…Once I met with Dr. Jeffrey Carlson, it was determined that surgery was necessary. When I looked into what the surgery would entail, I was extremely nervous about the procedure, being my first surgery ever. I was warned that Dr. Carl...
