My husband and I have lived in a lot of different communities around Michigan, from west Michigan to East Michigan to the Upper Peninsula. I have to say that Our Lady of Consolation is the first time ...I've ever felt at home and truly felt like I was apart of the Parish Community. I feel like we are a family here. What I love about our church is that it is Christ centered and our focus is on Jesus. I thank God often for blessing our lives with this amazing faith filled community. I feel like our children are welcomed in the mass and are appreciated. Can't say enough good things about OLC!!! See More

OLC School is Turning 50! & We are Looking for You!

OLC School is turning "50" this next school year!!

What an exciting year for OLC School! Just think … 50 years of stories contained in those school walls and your stories are part of it!

We are trying to find everyone who was connected with the school over the last 50 years – students, parents, staff, volunteers, etc. and we need your help.

Could you please do two things for us?

1. Click on the link below then scroll down to the Forms section and click on Complete the Information Gathering Survey to begin filling out the survey :

2. Share this message out to as many OLC School folks as you know to help fill out the survey

We are also beginning to make plans to celebrate this amazing milestone. We plan to have a reunion sometime around the next Catholic Schools Week which will be in January of 2018. All those on our contact list will be notified as soon as a date is set.

We have all had a part in this amazing journey and we hope to have everyone be a part of the next 50 years!

On Monday, Feb. 26, they are urging Catholics around the nation to call Congress in support of Dreamers.

If you have been following the story you will know that Congress has until March 5th to make a decision regarding the fate of people who were brought to America under the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” or “DACA” program. A legislative solution has not been found yet and last week Congress failed to pass legislation that would have provided protection.
