2017 April, Fujian Lilliput Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd (OWON) officially release three new ODP programmable power supply models: ODP3033/ODP3063/ODP6033. New models’ output voltage covers 0-60V, output current covers 0-6A.
ODP3033 includes two individual 30V/3A channels and one 6V/3A adjustable channel, total 198W power output.

Good morning at the beginning of week!

Try a small test. Use your 100 MHz oscilloscope to measure a 100MHz, 3.3V amplitude waveform. The measured amplitude isn’t accurate. This issue refers to the bandwidth of oscilloscope.
1. What is bandwidth?
Bandwidth is an essential parameter for oscilloscope. But, what is bandwidth? Bandwidth refers to the analog bandwidth of the analog front end of the oscilloscope. It directly determines the oscilloscope on the signal measurement capabilities. Specifically, the oscilloscope bandwidth is the highest frequency when the amplitude of the sine wave measured by the oscilloscope is not lower than...
A. Two misunderstanding on oscilloscope field:
1. Focus on sample rate, miss the record length
When selecting oscilloscope, people used to focus mainly on sample rate. Many of them tangle if the sample rate is 4G or 5G. However, the sample rate depends on record length from time to time. If your oscilloscope only gets 2.5K record length, the sample rate would never reach 4G even it supports.
To enhance the measurement ability, most of T&M equipment set various scale to meet the demand on different signal measurement. What if using a large scale to measure a small signal? Many people know it will cause deviation, but cannot explain the reason. Let us see how different scale influence the result.

We often forget to consider one point while choosing multimeter – the accessibility of the battery. Common multimeters in the market use 9V battery, which is hard to purchase in retail shop. To ease the trouble, OWON B41T+ Bluetooth multimeter uses 2 sets of AAA battery.
Since the AAA battery is more popular, why not common multimeter manufacturer choose to use them? The main difficulty points are:
1. The output voltage of AAA battery is 3V. Therefore, if they choose to use AAA battery, the voltage will lower 70% percent from 9V to 3V.
