Good afternoon! I hope that everyone is having an excellent May/Spring/Year so far! I wanted to post an update about our produce and our plans for this summer.

We have had many people ask about strawberries, but unfortunately, we do not (and will not) have any of our own available. More than likely, we won't be bringing any in from other growers either, because by the time we open our store, the strawberry season will be mostly done.

Speaking of the store, we will be opening... up around the first weekend in June, to coincide with the start of the blueberry picking. As we get a little closer, I can verify what date that will be, and that will be in a separate post. As many of you know, we moved to a different location last year. We are now located at 1922 W. Woodland St. in Springfield. We are actually in a warehouse building, that is split into several units. Our unit has an air conditioned main sales area, meaning a more comfortable shopping experience and happier produce.

We will also be going to Farmer's Market of the Ozarks again this year, but we will be in a different spot from last year. We will be outside under the covered pavilion. Not sure yet on our first weekend there, but we will definitely post that separately once we know for sure.

Lastly, our website is non-functional right now, due to the web host deciding to end their web hosting business. They still handle our email, so if you need to contact us, you can do so through this page, or you can send an email to info@ozarkmountainorchard.com. You can also give us a call at (417) 443-3343.

I think that about covers it all, but keep an eye out for dates and times that we will be starting with produce, and any further updates, which will all be posted to this page.

Have a great day!
Mike

Good afternoon!

We would like to say thank you to everyone that was able to come out and visit us at our new location this year. Things were a bit different this year, with the move to a new location, and with the fact that some of our crops didn't produce very well, so for the people that were able to stop in to our store (or farmers market), thank you very much for your business!

With that being said, we have decided that we will close down the produce part of our business ...for the year. This is a little earlier than normal, since we usually try to go through the end of August, but since we don't have any peaches, and it's been tough to buy any in at a good price, we have decided to close as of 6pm on Friday, August 4th.

If anyone wants it, I have some zucchini, vidalia onions, red and yellow potatoes, garlic, lemons, and limes that I will sell for cheap. If they don't sell, I'll donate the rest to a local food pantry. I also have some frozen blueberries for sale.

On another note, many of you saw our other business that we run from the new location, where we sell liquidated merchandise. We will still be open for this business with reduced hours, so if you are interested in that side of our business, you can find more information here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1856931051211562/.

Thank you again for coming out to visit us this summer, and we hope to see you with produce again starting in late May/early June of next year!

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to send us a message or email, or give us a call. Have a great day!

We have just gotten in a few different kinds of melons and some peaches at our store, located at 1922 W. Woodland St., Springfield, MO 65807! This is Missouri Boot heel produce, from near the Campbell, MO area.

Peaches are $1.25/lb.
Cantaloupe are $4/each.
Watermelon are $5/each. Both kinds are seedless.

...

Also, we are at the very end of blueberry season, so this could be your last chance to pick up some of those. These are still very good, whether you want some for eating, or want some for freezing for over the winter.

Our normal hours are Monday - Friday 10-6, Saturday 10-4, and Sunday 11-4. We don't have a huge amount of the peaches and melons yet, but depending on how these are, we should be able to get much more next week.

Have a great weekend!

Good Morning! I want to post a general update about some of our stuff, and list a few of the things that we have available for sale right now.

We have had many people call or come in to ask about peaches; unfortunately, we will not have any of our own peaches this year. I am trying to find out about bringing in some local peaches, but so far I don't have anything set up for that yet. I am also working on getting some watermelon and some cantaloupe brought in as well.

Along th...ose same lines, the season for blueberries will be ending soon. Right now, we are picking our final variety, and there are still a lot of berries on the bushes that need to ripen, but if you are wanting berries for eating or for freezing, it might be better to get them sooner rather than later.

Here is what we do have currently: Blueberries, Red Peppers, Green Peppers, Vidalia Onions, Red Sweet Onions, Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Cucumbers, Red Potatoes, Yukon Gold Potatoes, Lemons, Limes, Garlic, Tomatoes, Bi-color Sweet Corn, and a couple Canary Melons.

Feel free to call us with any questions, our phone number is (417) 443-3343. Our new location, if you haven't been here yet this summer, is 1922 W. Woodland St., Springfield, MO 65807. The hours are Monday - Friday 10-6, Saturday 10-4, and Sunday 11-4.

Have a great day!
