We had a great time hosting our friends from Indigenous Climate Action Network. Check out their page to learn about how they are working to amplify Indigenous led climate solutions.
We had an incredible initial meeting with the Pacific Peoples Partnership to discuss opportunities for us to work together to gather Indigenous peoples and comm...unities, raise their voices and build solutions to the climate crisis. They were incredible hosts and not only shared their stories and work with us, but took us on a tour and introduced us to some of their partners.
Check out this great event being held by our friends, Pearls of the South Pacific! Tickets available at our office.

Yesterday I got the oppourtunity to help our Samoan vaka Aiga. Vaka Gaualofa has arrived and has Alot of work to be done to prepare it for its voyage down the c...oast to Wellington at the end of the month. Before it sails back to Samoa. A vaka is nothing without a relationship with its people and the land. It does not exist without it. If you feel drawn to the vaka and want to support the Samoan Voyaging society in any way possible be you Samoan or not. If it be a few hours helping to sand the decks or dropping some food for the crew who are all volunteers I might add or have a connect to a lumber yard or deal on tools. who knows how you may want to show your support. The vaka Gaualofa is tied up at the Orakei marina and or contact the president of the Samoan Voyaging society,Schannel Van Dijken +64224301300 or the captain Fealo Fani. If you think voyaging is an important part of our history and want support its growth and survival through this Samoan Vaka. Tag someone who you may think is. Manuia
