“Always” Ready Warrior of the Week”
1st Lt. Jason Todd is an assistant in the training section as well as the Theater Biometrics Cell- Afghanistan Officer in Charge with Task Force Blue Watch Headquarters, Task Force Ready, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. He took the lead during Joint Task Force-3’s surge to transition Security Force Assistance Brigade biometric enrollments from TF Ready to the Train Advise and Assist Command/ TFs. He, with the support of TBC-A team, fiel...ded 34 Secure Electronic Enrollment Kits, 4 Biometric Assessment Tools, and provided enrollment training to over 330 TAAC/TF personnel across the Combined Joint Operations Area- Afghanistan in just three weeks. His efforts resulted in the smooth transition of responsibility of enrollments and ensured the TAAC/TFs conduct enrollments in accordance with the standards established by Resolute Support.
1st. Lt. Todd is slated to transfer to the 1st Calvary Division DIVARTY where he will serve as a battalion assistant in the intelligence office.
His ambition is to continue learning Spanish in order to better communicate with his wife’s family.

"Always Ready Warrior of the Week"

Pfc. Sherie Szejer is a Human Resources Specialist with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 504th Military Intelligence Brigade. She is a native of Houston, and has served in the U.S. Army since July 2016.

Her chain of command recommended her as the "Always Ready Warrior" because she is a "highly motivated Soldier who always takes initiative, not only in the absence of orders, but in the absence of her leadership." She has significantly i...mproved processes throughout the company, which not only impact the command team, but the entirety of the headquarters company.

She has earned the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and a Certificate of Achievement. One of her long-term goals is to become a Noncommissioned Officer.

Before entering the Army, Pfc. Szejer was a dental assistant, and also worked human resources in the oil industry.

1) If running on a treadmill, place on elevation 1

2) Kettlebell swings must be parallel to shoulders

3) Squats must come to the 90-degree knee bend

4) Jumping pull-ups: the bar must be high enough for the wrist only to extend over the bar when standing and arms at full extension over your head

5) Box jumps w/ full hip extension after landing on box top

6) Hang Power Cleans: Bar must rest on the shoulders and you must come to a full hip extension

Soldiers with Task Force Ready and Task Force Vigilance (the forward and homestation missions of the 504th MI Brigade) get after their real-world missions - and have some fun too - during recent events at Fort Hood and in Afghanistan.

"Always Ready Warrior of the Week"

Sgt. Dearyk Gwyn is a Soldier with the 163d Military Intelligence Battalion and is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has served with the 504th for three months, and in the U.S. Army for nearly eight years.

He distinguishes himself by providing the critical technical maintenance for the battalion's intelligence equipment to sustain their missions. He also plays a key role in the 303rd MI BN's homestation mission at Fort Hood. With his... consistent efforts supporting the entire brigade, Sgt. Gwyn truly sets the example of what it means to be a Noncommissioned Officer.

Sgt. Gwyn's awards include two Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, two Good Conduct Medals, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal and the NATO Medal. He has completed Basic Leader's Course and industry-specific training.

He is completing a bachelor's degree in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity.

Today, the 504th MI Brigade joins the U.S. Army and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) in honoring and commemorating our nation's Vietnam War veterans.

Soldiers with the 303rd MI BN, the Army's most-decorated Military Intelligence battalion, earned 12 battle streamers and five Meritorious Unit Commendations for combat service in Vietnam. Their service to our nation will never be forgotten!

The commemoration recognizes the 9 million Americans who served in the U.S. military ...from November 1955 - May 1975.

Spc. Wong was selected for a battlefield promotion by US Forces Afghanistan, and was one of nine junior enlisted Soldiers across Afghanistan selected for promotion.

Soldiers with the 504th MI Brigade, stationed at Fort Hood and in Afghanistan, honed their skills as MI professionals during recent training here and abroad.

Training with the 3d Cavalry Regiment at a recent Decisive Action rotation at the National Training Center/Fort Irwin, 504th Soldiers provided key imagery support to the warfighters in the regimental operations center.

A team of seven "Always Ready" Soldiers deployed to NTC to collect and analyze live satellite and UAS footage to assist the "Brave Rifles" in winning the intelligence fight.

Decorating your "War Room" or "Man Cave?"

The 504th MI Brigade has partnered with Squadron Posters to design a new poster highlighting the brigade's work in Afghanistan.

The brigade is currently deployed as Task Force Ready, providing intelligence support to US Forces Afghanistan. The brigade serves alongside the U.S. Army's 525th Military Intelligence Brigade to form the ISR Task Force-Afghanistan.

"Always Ready Warrior of the Week"

Spc. Donald Cox is a Soldier with the 303rd MI BN - Task Force "Blue Watch" - currently deployed to Afghanistan. He was recently promoted to Specialist, and previously was a small business owner in heavy machinery. He is a native of Dallas.

Spc. Cox serves in his company's headquarters platoon, and is also the unit armorer. He was recognized in Afghanistan for his work maintaining and resourcing over 250 sensitive items to Soldiers across t...he company and battalion.

He has earned an Army Achievement Medal with "C" device.

Working in a simulated field detention site at Fort Bliss, Texas, Soldiers with the 163d Military Intelligence Battalion honed their skills as Human Intelligence Collectors in a combat environment.

Partnering with the 89th Military Police Brigade, the "Blue Watch" Soldiers learned a lot during the "Griffin Watch" exercise, and increased combat readiness across the formation.
