So these people park in front of the fire hydrant all night and every day. Never get a ticket, must be related to cops. We parked for few minutes to bring a handicapped person into the house and get... ticket. These guys have that spray you use so when u take s pic of the plate nothing shows up. How funny, as of right now this vehicle has been parked there since 10pm last night and still there at 233pm the next day. Nothing ever gets done, called police so many times and nothing. Wonder if they on the payroll, this is on the 7200 block of Central Park Ave. Let's see if something gets done. Probably not, I have pic in comments for reference. See More

We grew up in the 8th district and I lived there for about 35years. We all wish the streets could be safer, but its the signs of the times. Cpd has always been there to help when something happened in... our neighborhood.

Det. Friedman, thanx for going above and beyond to help us out this morning.

Coming from a LE/military family, I know cpd has our back, and we will have yours.

I've lived in this district for the last 8 years, blocks from the station. I have seen some of the best and the worst of the officers in my area. I will always respect the idea of policemen and I hope... one day they can all live up to the highest standard that we expect of them. Its time that we start to show our support for them, instead of bashing them every chance we get. Especially when we expect so much of someone who is just as human as we are. See More

They refused to admit that the Northside has the best hot dogs. They also have a tendency to show up when you really really need them. Their professional behavior is so abnormally respectful, I was a...ctually respectful towards many of them ( and for me that's unusually hard cause I'm such a ball buster). Their super nice which leads me to believe that their under alien control. So I would totally rate them with a 5 star but that whole hot dog thing really has me up in arms. Errrrg!

Not sure which district but is in Chicago. Even national news shows there is a problem. I was not aware that children need to be tazed such as 1 year old and police are not aware that a car can drive ...backwards. When police give an order to drive backwards and then write a ticket for the same is just pure and plain corruption. The driver was trying to protect her children while psychos were trying to kill the innocent. "...her children doused in pepper spray..." ...and laughing. See More

Would rate zero stars if that was an option. Called to request more police presence due to back to back incidents in the neighborhood of theft per the CPD officer who filed my police report. Was spoke...n to in a rude and condescending manner by a female by the name of "Henson" and eventually got hung up on twice by this same person. When I called back a final time and requested to speak with whom ever was in charge, I was placed on hold for over 15 minutes so I hung up. It is appalling that tax paying citizens are treated in this manner. It adds insult to injury after having your property stolen. Instead you get these people that are right down rude and nasty. If it's not one thing it's another with these so called officers........they make u file a police report for everything but in reality there is no point........My baby's stroller was stolen & my garag...e was broken into with force of entry & I filed a police report........Now the people who stole my stroller are walking passed my house with it & lying about where they got it from when confronted........i was told if I file a police report that if I saw it or knew who took it to CALL THE POLICE which I did & the cops that showed did not check for police report & now they say if I didn't see them take it I can't accuse them because maybe the person who stole it SOLD it or gave it to them which is absolutely B'S because I had witnesses that told me they saw that couple take it they don't listen all these officers do is give u the bs run around their is no justice for anything for that matter......... I called the department about a noise disturbance at 12:45 am. The police didn't show up until about 2:00. Some of us have to work. Some of us need to sleep. Unfortunately we have disrespectful neighb...ours but when the police doesn't help when you need them, it's a little too late. See More

I like that fact that the 8th district has a strong court advocate team to assist the elderly! We need advocates as our elderly are abused just as much as children.
