Our Valley needs a Voice on the UC Board of Regents. UC Merced is the tenth and newest of the University of California campuses but unless Governor Brown is fair to the Valley with his two new Regent appointments we will not have a voice on the governing board of the University of California.
Thanks to all of the support and endorsements from Law Enforcement.

Bishop Amey was also a close family friend who provided guidance and leadership to our community.
This is the first in a series of posts honoring African American leaders in the 21st Assembly District. As my longtime friend and mentor, I thought it would fitting to start by recognizing and remembering Denard Davis.
Community celebrates grand opening of UC Merced. Assemblymember Adam Gray said, "This refocuses us on downtown and the revitalization of it. As people make new investments down here... Attending the Modesto Chamber of Commerce's Annual Gala where they recognize outstanding businesses and individuals who are a positive influence in the greater Modesto area. It was great to see Mayor Brandvold and so many others supporting our community.
As of today, I am proud to say that I have submitted over 1500 signatures to the registrars of voters in Merced and Stanislaus counties. With your help, I have successfully qualified for the ballot in each of my elections by collecting signatures from voters in my district. Thank you all.
"We don't have a plan in place that will deliver enough water to support all of our communities in the Central Valley, our Ag economy, and certainly our urban neighbors. We need him to step up and make a water plan, not just a water fix," said Assemblymember District 21 Adam Gray.
Fighting for the Scales of Justice to be be fair. Remember in late 2017 we were successful in advancing important legislation to restore fairness to the hearing process at the State Water Board (AB 313). Governor Brown vetoed the bill, but in his veto message acknowledged the need to address these conflicts of interest and committed to “[direct] the Secretary of the Environmental Protection Agency to evaluate the potential role for administrative law judges and provide a re...commendation on improvements to the Board's hearing process by January 1, 2018.”
January 1st has come and gone and CalEPA has not taken up the issue, nor made any recommendations. I am committed to holding the Governor and his executive agencies accountable, and have therefore submitted the attached letter in order to get some answers. Please CLICK read the letter here: http://bit.ly/2rHCa3h and let me know your thoughts.
I am very proud of my tradition of collecting signatures in lieu of filing fee for my name to be on the ballot in June. Many of you are circulating these petitions on my behalf and I encourage you to mail them back to my office as the filing date approaches. If you have not signed or circulated a petition, please pm me or email at email@example.com and we will get one to you. This is a great way to actively participate in grassroots election activity.
I appreciate your support.
