The good news: although the prevalent experience, this is not the only way to be cared for during pregnancy, but getting the respectful, pregnant person-centered, empowering care you deserve will take some hard work upfront. My biggest recommendation: enlist the help of a doula early on: they will lift you up, bring perspective, and hold space so you can make the non-fear-b...ased decisions that are right for you. And if you are considered high-risk, enlist the help of Parijat Deshpande, High-Risk Pregnancy Expert, or a similar practitioner.
